The Miami Dolphins have waived QB Chris Streveler.

Time to come back home Strevie!

I wonder if his NFL days are over? He may not have a desire to return to the CFL. If he does can we afford his SMS?

If he comes back to the CFL, I can see BC making a play for him to help with the young Canadian QB's.

A few teams will throw money at him. However Strev. will return home to Winnerpeg for a shot at the 3 peat.

I would be absolutely surprised if he went to another team upon returning to the CFL, our team is a family.

The main deterrent to signing with us vs another cfl team is the salary cap hit. I hope we sign him even if it does put us over in order to get the 3 peat.
Having said that, other teams that would have an interest include Edmonton who is interested in any qb (likely letting them cut loose or trade Arbuckle who Jones seems to have very little faith in), BC as mentioned above, and Toronto.

OTT, SSK, HAM should be interested also since the QBs behind their starter (Masoli, Fajardo, Evans) are all unknowns

I'd be shocked and pleasantly surprised if Streveler comes back to the Bombers. He'll be in high demand especially considering the new QB rules. He'll want to at least compete for the starter's job and he's not going to sign for a cap friendly $100K.

My guess would be BC as they have the worst QB situation in the league.

Have we forgot the USFL and XFL??  May want to get paid in US funds.

I agree it'll be tough for Bombers to take back Strev unless he is fine with mediocre-pay backup role.

I also (still) don't think Strev is CFL-starter material.  Has he improved after his NFL stint?  Dunno.  His main issue is still reads and decision making.  And sometimes his weird throwing style leading to inaccuracies.  Perhaps it's all fixable, but has it been fixed?

He probably will come back to the CFL.  Let another team throw piles of money at him.  No matter what, I'll have fun watching him!  You gotta love Tha Strevelation!

He almost certainly would get paid more here, even accounting for exchange, taxes, costs, etc.  He also has a lot of friends here.  And Canadian fans really seems to love him.

As long as he comes back somewhere I'm happy.  Really happy if its in Blue and Gold.  Someone will overpay.

Sec223

He's made a few bucks in the last couple years so maybe 50K here or there won't come in to play ? He would get lots of employment offers here after football if he stayed in the city.

Miami cut him in order to remain within the current roster limit. It's possible he rejoins them later?
