Wonder if the extra 3 days practice time helped the Elks

Maybe but they played their better QB's in the 1st half. Our offence and ST's turned over the ball a few times and our defence gave up some big plays.  We lost TOP and turnovers overall that usually indicates a loss.

We'll see how Tuesdays game goes. That will be another opportunity to fine tune.

That's Sask's home game. Usually they leave in starters long enough to be ahead for the home crowd. Create buzz.

Another loss is ok with me though. Just find the right players is all I care about. We have enough vets that know what it's about.

Well his previous seasons have not been all that good. It sounds like some bad decisions being made as well as pure execution issues.

Prukop has 4 years of CFL football already under his belt, if he hasn't figured it out by now, he's not figuring it out.  Bombers haven't been putting in the time on QB recruitment the last few years, maybe they'll pickup another Elks off-cut.

I'm pulling for Dru Brown.  Sounds like he has been fighting the odds all of his pro life.  That's not to say we shouldn't be looking at other candidates though.

His ability to escape pressure and make a play was impressive.  He also threw away the ball instead of forcing it. I was surprised.

Cadwallader seemed to get a lot of playing time and led defence with tackles. What were the impressions of him live?

I don't think anyone should put much stock into a CFL QB's first season. New CFL QBs are up against a ton of factors. It's a faster, better game than college. It's way different and defences do a lot of things they've never seen before. It takes time to adjust to the rules, game and system.

Not saying Brown is going to be the next HoF QB but you shouldn't judge the guy for how his first year went. Very, very few QBs have much success in year one.

I do believe you need to see clear and obvious leaps in performance for subsequent years though.

Yup no patience with some on here, so annoying
