Arbuckle will be their guy. They aren't bringing anyone in. Jones will spend all his time and craft on building his defence.

They signed JT Barrett, a QB that had been on their neg list since Jones was there before... I'd be surprised if he didn't get a long look if he shows up to camp...

Doesn't mean much. Many QB's come to the CFL with impressive credentials and fail. Others with less impressive credentials succeed. The biggest issue is that rookie don't usually win the starting role coming out of TC. Getting the starting role is often a matter of luck when an opportunity occurs due to injury. If you only make the roster as a # 3 QB then it's even more difficult to move from PR to AR.

He doesn't have the arm strength to be a starter. He's coming in as a potential athletic #2  to use as a Streveler-light.

Ottawa signs Boateng, seems like a good price for a ratio breaking DE, it would have been nice to get him to replace Kongbo.

Kwaku Boateng?s deal with #RedBlacks also done. 1 year, 150k hard, 160k all in. Will be reunited with @Coach__Bene with whom he had his most success. @CFLonTSN #CFLFA

So far it's been the average CFL FA. Eastern teams make the big moves. That being said, in my opinion, Ottawa got QB1 with solid developmental pieces, Hamilton added Johnson along with Wynn to have a deadly DT duo and Toronto got one of the best Canadian DBs in the CFL so good for them. Bombers are top of the class so the movement and improvement is a welcome challenge imo. I'm intrigued to see what the Bombers do

Hammy seems to be building a pretty good defence for 2022

Lots of news of players going east but nothing about players going west except the Calgary trade with Toronto.

We haven't heard more about whether Lawler is going to accept the BC offer, continue his NFL effort or return to Winnipeg. Teams will need to decide to hold or spend whatever SMS they have put aside for him.

was thinking along the same line ....it also applies to the Andrew Harris situation albeit it's slightly more complicated with 3-4 running backs on our team....all Canadians!   I know, as a team we can obviously move forward without Andrew yet I would really hate to see him leave for another team.    I know Lawler is also not easily replaced either....and I'd hate to see him leave for BC who would basically break the bank as far as CFL offers go for a receiver.....even if he was a CFL all star!

Happy to be able to watch a rematch of the 2019 game in Hamilton's back yard!

On boy, Riders will be going all out to sign Stove, hopefully he doesn't want to live in Regina and rejects their offer.

Man....that would suck.   He was a beast for us and not sure why he wasn't a priority?   Totally underrated imho!   Anyone care to comment on this?

I think Walters has a budget for his defensive line, and the big money went to the DEs.  Historically, we haven?t spent heavy at DT.  They let Drake Nevis (who was very effective) fo in free agency, and the contract before, they had let him test free agency before finally re-signing him.  Before Nevis, we let Euclid Cummings go in free agency.  (Which was a good thing because he turned out to be a pervert).  Anyway, it?s not a position we spend heavily on.

Although the TiCats are making a play for Micah, it looks like they are losing Jagred Davis.  So they are spending on the interior.

I think Sayles and Rose showed well when Stove was out with injury, so while I would rather have him than not, it is a loss we can survive.

We have spent big on DE's, we have Thomas at DT, and have never seemed to have an issue recruiting Int DT's... Love the heat the stove brings, but Saoles and Rose are darned good value.

Ricky Walker was another DT that played when Stove was injured.  He had 8 tackles and 1 sack, in limited time.
