I'm trying to keep track of some of the many milestones Harris has accomplished in his career. He currently has 9661 rushing yards, which is the most by a Canadian ever. 10K yards is quite the milestone, and almost a given. He needs only 624 to pass Charlie Roberts for 5th all time. He currently has 5223 rec yards, which as far as I can tell is the most ever by any RB. That is really impressive. Combined he has 14,884 all purp yards, only needing 324 to pass Stegall for and move into 4th alltime. **Question: Do PR & KR count as APY? If so we can add another 1276 yards to his total**He is a 3X Grey Cup Champ, twice as MVC, 1X as MVP and the only player ever to win both awards the same year. He led the league in rushing from 2017-2020, 3 straight years and likely would have been 5 straight years if there were no lockout or injury lastyear. He is a 5 time CFL All Star. He was the 2017 CFL MOC, and should have been in 2019 as well. **If I have any stats wrong, can someone please correct?**Most importantly the prodigal son came back home, put the team on his shoulders and got us a Cup after a loooong drought. That 2019 GC performance was flat out fantastic and will have a special place to any WPG sports fan. Andrew, I'm putting out a plea to you for all Blue Bomber fans: Please sign the deal, and come back for another year! Break these records as a BB, and let us celebrate all your achievements together! If you're going to pass 2 Bomber legends on the alltime lists, you better do it in B&G! This is where you belong! And whatever happens, you better not sign with the Riders!

I forgot about his receiving numbers, they are truly amazing, he's a HoF walk-in. He's has a few more accomplishments he's close to notching, so I don't see him retiring this year. To knock off a 700 yd. season he would need to play all games and take at least 50% of the snaps, so it's more than a part-time role. It wouldn't surprise me if he plays another 2-3 years, but it might not be in a Bomber uniform. I guess it all depends what is most important to him.

My only issue is you?re using his career numbers to compare against Bomber records.
Only half his stats are ?as a Bomber?.

I can agree with that, especially considering both Charlie & Milt were lifelong Bombers. I'll edit that part out.

I don't think that matters, Harris isn't specifically pursuing Bomber records, he's pursuing CFL records, if he breaks some Bomber records in the process, that's great.

Agreed....and as long as his play is an overall benefit to the team he will continue to play. He has already proven to Wally Buono that perhaps he undervalued his contribution to the Lions. When he signed with us after leaving BC, I was ecstatic and just knew that if we won another Cup in my lifetime, that AH would be a big part of that! He proved his worth and value as a teammate in the 2019 Grey Cup game in spades winning both MOC and MOP and deservedly so. He was nothing short of amazing and inspirational in that epic game....and this year he was outstanding in the WF and still a huge factor in that OT touchdown drive where he basically ran straight through the Cats D who knew he was coming....but didn't stop him. So yeah.....if he thinks he can play and benefit our offence and the team he likely has it in him to do so. The unfortunate part will be losing JA who imho is a better back than BO however that's a good problem to have now isn't it?

While I know the team really respects its players, I do not think that they would make a decision based on someone hitting some record. Remember, AH33 was sat while just short of 1k yards.
That said, if AH33 comes back at a discount to try and set records, I'm sure that they'd find a space for him...
I just don't see losing JA27 and BO20 or both to retain AN33 at a premium based on his last year injury history... love the guy, his passion, his commitment... but while the mind may be willing, you have to wonder if the body can keep up. I never questioned his ability to endure in past years when people conjectured father time was catching up, but last year was an eye opener.

I guess not but we need to save money somewhere and not signing an expensive 35-year-old running back is kinda the Kindergarten lesson at GM school. It's also interesting that the report states there was some tension in the building regarding Andrew's fitness and the subsequent injuries that he sustained because of that. If you want to play running back at 35, you gotta be putting in Tom Brady level effort. Sounds like that wasn't the case.

That's unsubstantiated speculation so I don't want to dig too far into that. But financially, and with JA signed and with Borsa coming in, it makes a lot of sense to move on. But there's optics and culture to consider as well.

AH33 has always been a training beast... but the missed season, I can see after decades of training, and now in a marital dynamic (have to wonder how easy it is to train when married vs. when single), I can understand that there might have been a change in his workout regimen. Whether that had anything to do with his injury issues, who knows... whether it has anything to do with any concerns the Bombers might have with him coming to camp ready to rock, who knows... Whether BC o another team will take a chance on him, again, its anyone's guess. But if the Bombers take a pass on him, that sends a message to other potential teams... no one would know better than the Bombers where AH33 is at currently... I really, really want him for retire as a Bomber, and would love to see him finish out here. But I'd hate to see him limp through a final season as well, either in Blue and Gold or some other colours, much like Obby's final season. Jon Cornish had a post football option that let him exit on his terms... I don't know if AH33 is 100% for 2022, but I hope he makes the right decision...

Sounds like an article that is purposely trying to stir the pot. He insinuates something, but has nothing to back it up.
Andrew, sign a hometown deal - you're still wanted! Get the records here, WPG is your home! Get the ovation & send off you deserve!

Farhan Lalji has always been a pretty fair and trusted reporter. But I get your point.
