As poignant as ever 84 Roll Eyes Hey everyone is entitled to there opinion. No need to be an ***.

Blink will always carry the most special of places in my fandom.

Says the guy calling names because someone else doesn't agree with him. Poor wittle goldie... LOL Cheesy

Harris put this team on his back in 2016 and led by example way more often than not. Did Roberts ever do that? Nah.

Charlie Roberts is still my favourite Bomber ever and the reason I'm a fan.

Best RB we've had in my lifetime.

I'm not going to use team success to talk about an indivudual player.

Nope. But on the field, he could do things with a footall that I've never seen another CFL player match.

Yeah, and nobody's discounted any of that.

Again, you cannot decry that you got an insulting offer when you refused to work out for the team offering the contract.  And again, he said that he knew the deal was going to be different, so we have no idea what the offer was.  It may have been for the same amount as last year, but that may have included playing time bonuses.  The first conversation with MOS might have included that fact, that Harris was going to have to earn his $ this contract by playing, meaning he needs to be healthy now, come to TC healthy, and stay healthy all year.

Last year, no doubt he came through at the right time.  And possibly the Bombers had a part in that, "load managing" hm to keep him fresh and injury free for the playoffs.  And who knows how he exited the GC game, if he even actually finished the game and year injury free.  The Bombers would have the best information regarding that, possibly even better than Harris himself.

Pinball bought a pig in a poke, hoping that he gets 2019 Harris, and he may just get that, and will get full value for that contract / signing bonus.  On the other hand, he may not.

Walters / MOS are not the gambling types.  They want to know what they have, and know that their tight SMS$ are being spent efficiently.

I agree. Just not ahead of Harris.

I'm going to need to sit on Harris for a bit before I know how I feel about his overall legacy.

I really hate the missed 2020 year, that probably would have sealed it for me, but he only played 5 seasons for us out of at least a 12-year career.

Charlie was here 8 years (winning 7 CFL all-star nods). He was so dominant for so long.

Andrew's CFL legacy is more impactful than Charlie's. But strictly as a Bomber? It's #1 all day for me.
