Looks like Jonathan Kongbo was waived by Broncos.

Broncos  10/11   Jonathan Kongbo  DE   Waived, No Recall
If it's what I think it is, Walters need to bring him back here for the last regular game and WDF.

That would set the ratio up nicely and help the D-line get back on track.  I've been impressed with Cam Lawson this year, whenever Jake wants to retire, they've got his replacement already lined up.

There is still enough time to bring Kongo back going into the bye and 1 regular season game afterwards. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

It's odd that he was activated to their game roster this weekend and now cut outright?

It would be a great pickup if he's done with the NFL for this year.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Waived with no recall and they can still put him on their PR?

Broncos put him on their practice roster.

He was waived Oct11. Cant see any transaction that he was signed back to PR.

He doesn't appear on the roster list on Bronco's official website.

It was reported by a couple of people on Twitter yesterday.  Either their sources are wrong or Kongbo will be shown on the practice roster in the next few days.

Good to see the NFL is a clumsy as the CFL handling roster moves.

With Nichols also out we might see Texada added to the AR as a DI. Darby, Lawrence and Texada. That's a lot of changes on defence just in the secondary alone.

Yeah. But Darby should be familliar with the D so there's no concern there. Lawrence is a newcomer on this D but he has CFL xp and was Ticat's ROY nominee.
Texada as DI is might not get snaps on D unless there's an injury.

If Clements is back Cole might sit too. OR should we sit(rest) Biggie too and try Cole at the middle?

Texada didn't get added to the AR as it turns out. I thought they'd use him in passing downs when a 6th DB was used. That may now end up being, Kramdi, Ford or Hallett. Parker moving to DHB on the same side as Rose. Lawrence takes the CB spot held by Parker. Didn't quite see that exact change coming but should be ok.

I was hoping to see Massie as another rotation DE with Jeffcoat out.

No concern about Darby or Lawrence but might be some miscommunications resulting with so many changes.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers agree to terms on three-year contract extension with quarterback Zach Collaros

CFL's reigning Most Outstanding Player will remain in Blue and Gold through 2025

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with All-Star quarterback Zach Collaros on a three-year contract extension through the 2025 season. He was scheduled to become a free agent in February.

Collaros (6-0, 222; University of Cincinnati; born: August 27, 1988, in Steubenville, OH) is the Canadian Football League's reigning Most Outstanding Player and a leading candidate for the award again in 2022. He has posted career-high passing totals this season, having thrown for 4,115 yards and 35 touchdowns. The 35 passing TDs not only leads the CFL but has tied him with Tom Clements (1987) for third-most in Blue Bombers history. His 7,521 yards passing as a Blue Bomber also ranks 11th on the franchise's all-time list.

The Blue Bombers are 14-2 under Collaros in 2022 and 31-4 in his starts since his arrival in October of 2019. Included in that run are the back-to-back Grey Cup championships of 2019 and 2021 and a perfect 5-0 record overall in the playoffs. Collaros has been named a CFL Top Performer three times in 2022 (Weeks 5, 8 and 14) and has been twice named a CFL Top Performer of the Month (July and September).

The 2021 season was a memorable one for Collaros as he helped guide the club to a second consecutive championship while being named the CFL?s Most Outstanding Player, the Blue Bombers? Most Outstanding Player as well as earning West Division and CFL All-Star honours. He was also named the MVP of the 108th Grey Cup after a 33-25 overtime victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In the process, he became the first Blue Bombers quarterback to lead the club to consecutive Grey Cup championships since Ken Ploen in 1961-62. Collaros led the CFL in passing touchdowns in 2021 with 20 and posted a league-best quarterback efficiency rating of 111.0, while his 3,185 passing yards ranked second.

The Bombers acquired Collaros on October 9, 2019, in a trade with the Toronto Argonauts. Upon his arrival, he led the Bombers to a 4-0 record, winning his debut in the club?s regular season finale before the run to the Grey Cup that also included victories in the Western Semi-Final and Western Final, all this after having been traded twice during the year, first from Saskatchewan to Toronto, then from the Argos to Winnipeg.

Collaros first signed in the CFL with the Argos in 2012 and has since appeared in 122 regular season games with Toronto, Hamilton, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg. Boosted by his numbers this year, Collaros has moved up 15 places on the CFL's all-time passing yardage to 23rd overall at 24,279.

Top up the CFL MOP: Blue Bombers' QB Zach Collaros earns raise with three-year, $1.8 million contract extension

Winnipeg Blue Bombers' quarterback Zach Collaros has earned a raise and raised the bar in being the highest-paid player in the CFL.

According to league sources, Collaros will be paid $600,000 annually in his new agreement for a total of $1.8 million over three years through the 2025 season. $250,000 of his $500,000 base salary is guaranteed in the final year of the contract, as per the new collective bargaining agreement stipulation allowing contracts for veteran players to be partially guaranteed.

The 34-year-old signed a one-year extension in January 2022 that made him the highest-paid player in the CFL, paying the two-time Grey Cup champion $550,000. He has lived up to that salary and then some, throwing for a career-high 4,115 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions over 16 starts, posting a 14-2 record this season.

Collaros has gone 31-4 as a starter in Winnipeg since being acquired from the Toronto Argonauts via trade in October 2019 and won back-to-back CFL championships. He has thrown for a total of 7,521 yards, 57 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions during regular season action with the Blue Bombers.

If he wins the three-down league's Most Outstanding Player award this year, Collaros will be just the fifth player in CFL history to win it in consecutive seasons.

The Blue Bombers (14-3) are currently on a bye week before closing out the regular season against the B.C. Lions (11-5) on Friday, October 28 at IG Field. The team has already clinched first place in the West Division and will host the West Final on Sunday, Nov. 13 with kickoff slated for 4:30 p.m. EDT.
