The big question is, Will MOS play his backup players and QB a little more or will he keep using Zac, Harris etc until they get hurt.

I don't think we will see Ah33 until November 6th. He will miss the BC game, then we are into our second bye week.

We didn?t miss a beat with BO#20 in there tonight . He ran super hard and caught everything thrown his way. Rest up Harris, we got the running game covered with BO and will still have JA#27 as a backup to maintain our ratio

CFL rosters aren't very big so there won't be a ton of guys sitting. O'Shea did rest players the last game of the year when we were locked into the home semi final game a few years ago. I think he will do it again if we're playing meaningless games down the stretch. O'Shea is a believer in rest over rust.

Probably a wise decision to rest him and let him heal if necessary.

We couldn't sit anyone last night. The game wasn't won until the last minute.

Once we've locked up first place, then give more reps to the backups, but don't sit the starters.

Now that we are in the playoffs it's time to get McGuire in there for meaningful game-speed reps. Why would you want to expose Zach to more risk than necessary with a patched-up O line? Let Collaros start the next four games for sure, but get McGuire in there now. Let him get his timing down and sync-up with his receivers. Let him run the O. How does he handle the pressure? Look what happened in 2007 when Kevin Glenn went down in the final quarter of the West Final. A really strong Blue Bombers team goes to the Grey Cup - and loses - because the No. 2 QB, Ryan Dinwiddie - was not given any playing time during the season.

Nothing scares me more than that possibility, but O'Shea has never bought into the concept of giving a backup QB adequate game reps to properly prepare  for the emergency starting role, he's the ultimate optimist when it comes to his players abilities. He throws them in stone cold assuming they'll naturally swim by replicating the success he sees them achieve in practice.  To quote him "every player is a starter".  He may have to get burned before he buys into the lesson Doug Berry learned so brutally in the 2007 G.C. game.

If they wrap up first place after the BC game, even a stubborn guy like O'Shea will sub in guys more after his starters keep looking in sync I WOULD HOPE! Wink This will be a BRAND NEW situation for O'Shea to coach under so we shall see what he does, but it makes NO SENSE if they have a home date wrapped up to not be cautious with any of your starters. Yes, make sure they get enough game reps to not lose cohesion. Probably last game or two play the starters more too. Depending on who they want to meet in the Western Final (already assuming they will wrap this up next weekend), they may want to dump Calgary that last game if that pushes them out or to the cross-over.

Montreal not exactly looking so hot even in this Ottawa game, so even with our backups we still may beat them in that back to back! Wink Cheesy

Calgary will beat the riders in the western semi final regardless of where it?s played. They have a very good running game, which in November will be huge , especially since the run game has been our defensive weakness.

Playoffs are go8ng to be close and come down to kicking, Paredes doesn?t miss, we need to acquire a Sean white type kicker, even on a rental basis to win the west. Ali is too inconsistent and too much is on the line to go with him.i m thinking they give him the montreal series to prove himself, then make the deal for white. Nobody wants to screw this season up

Before the playoffs start MOS/Walters should take a very hard look at two players that could make a difference going forward.

 - One is his kicker, he likes him but do they have enough confidence in him when the game is on the line?

 - Second is Adams, he doesn't seem to be much of a team player noticed after Baileys TD. Is it because they are not throwing to him much in games anymore or he isn't getting open or not trying for the hard catches anymore?

MOS and Buck have been very high on McKnight but so far he also hasn't done much. So do they trade this year for a better player in case Lawler gets hurt? MOS always says he is happy with the players in camp but it showed something was missing when Lawler and Hardrick were missing for one game.
Now with the one year contracts a lot of players move around so why not look at EDM, Ottawa or even Sask for a kicker, Tackle or another receiver. Sask is still in the hunt for the playoffs but for how long?
