Nelson's had 2.5 games in '21, plus his '18-'19 games. I was a fan, but he's rapidly running out of chances to show his stuff. He had one great game at returner, and not much since.
Buuuut, no more Lucky, so if Grant is down, Nelson is it. We'd have to find another Grant/Lucky gem down south. Unlikely.
So no option but to pray for Grant back. Even then, we dress Nelson as backup. Nelson clearly not the long term #1.
At least he didn't fumble... he was busy out there.

I was a Nelson supporter too, but he's just not been a threat back there. Has our return block schemes changed?
Maybe we could give Williams a chance? He's a small, fast RB, can catch and has done returns in the past.

Nelson has to go....I say we give McKnight a shot at retuning once Demski is back....I'm tired of watching us starting on the 25 yd. line....over and over and over...We sure are missing Grant

We left points on the board in our previous two games as well, because obviously, the coaching staff has little faith in his abilities outside the 40 YL. That's just not good enough. Our kicking game was pathetic for years until we landed Medlock. Crapigna has had chances with other teams who gave up on him so I guess there just aren't many good ones to pick from? Man, I'd pay a king's ransom to land a guy like Noel Prefontaine who, as a National was stellar at all facets of kicking including punting!

2 missed FG's got us 1 point instead of 6. Net - 5 points and we lost by 7. Not that we should have won but needing a FG at the end instead of a TD would have given us more of a chance. |

With Lirim has signed with the Cowboys, Castillo could be a option as he hasn't sign with anyone. I think he was working out with the Titan's.
