Downtown if people impede traffic, they are warned, ticketed and if necessary arrested. I expect no more or less from law enforcement at the stadium.

30,000 against 10. I like those odds Yeah, the police getting involved early was more for the protection of the protesters. 30,000 people en route to one of the first events they've been to in a year and a half with a few drinks under their belt and 10 people trying to stop them. That could get ugly.

Bingo. July 23 has 64% Manitobans double-vaccinated. That means the Bombers/govt have excluded 36% of potential IGF customers. Let's call it 2/3rds vs 1/3rd for ease of discussion. If you distribute the unvaccinated rate evenly among Bomber fans, you'll have a third less fans attend than normal. That's bad for business! If you do a little thinking, you can probably hone the numbers a little: a) Bomber fans trend older/senior, and that is a more-vaccinated demo, so that's a plus for attendance; b) Football fans trend blue collar/old-school/country, less likely to be vaccinated, so that's a negative for attendance; c) The demos highly vaccinated (other than seniors), may not overlap with football fans, also negative for attendance So the only hope for a big turnout is if every possible Bomber fan decides to attend, and the numbers overwhelm the loss due to vaccine restriction. I wouldn't bet money on that. I wonder what they'll do if attendance is really poor. I wonder what they'll do if enough long-time STHs are excluded.

Those are some big generalizations and assumptions.
What about the fact that this is the first big event anyone can attend in over 16 months? There's going to be people not normally attending Bomber games showing up for that. The walk-up factor could be big in such a unique situation, and it could carry on beyond the first game.

pjrocksmb I don't expect 30k either, I expect 33,000! Manitobans loved being part of nostalgic, the events that are kind of historical. This will be the first full capacity sporting event in Canada in over 15 months. Tons of people are already getting out and doing everything they've been impatiently waiting to do like patios, beaches, gatherings, movies, and now we get sporting events. TecnoGenius Well apparently there is less than 5.000 tickets available with 13 days left to sell soooooo you may want to rethink your stats...... my numbers say 33,000-5,000=28,000 paid so far (they go by paid attendance numbers).... Something you clearly are forgetting is there is people that bring families to games... crazy thought of the day that you have clearly missed....kids under 12 are allowed in
very possible that the following weeks games draws more of the 22-27k "poor attendance" (minus banjo bowl)....again though Manitobans also like when our teams do well and its not like the 1st game won't have a Grey Cup Banner raising ceremony or anything crazy that would cause for a sell out.

OTOH, 64% = almost 700k people that are able to go, that haven't been to a huge event in over a year. So, trying to say that the potential crowd is down by 36% is, I think, kinda wrong... the potential crowd is huge, interest is huge, there will be a lot of non-fans going as well...
