Yeah, the police getting involved early was more for the protection of the protesters. 30,000 people en route to one of the first events they've been to in a year and a half with a few drinks under their belt and 10 people trying to stop them. That could get ugly.

Hmmmm. The alternative of course is for the police to be elsewhere thus allowing the protestors to reap the fruit of their own stupidity.

2) confirm 2 Vax process

3) security check

4) click in ticket

My lord like might be Grey Cup like line ups to enter a game!  Undecided

Cold beer $10

What about the fact that this is the first big event anyone can attend in over 16 months?  There's going to be people not normally attending Bomber games showing up for that.

Yes, if they generate buzz and get the non-football crowd to go out just to get out of the house, then they will do well.  That would be very good for WFC.  The question is are they getting that non-footballer buzz?

I should have added that there's another demo that won't go: the "covid-scared".  I know a few people who are 2x vax and don't want to leave their house except to pick up groceries.  I find it extremely odd, but they do exist (and not old people either!).

How many seats sold are to STHs who aren't 2x vax?  I know 2 STHs that will not get the vax, and Goldie if/when he gets the vax (due to health reasons) it won't be in time.  Are they accommodating those people (refunds, etc)?  Boy that would suck if you had worked up over 2 decades to get front row C field and don't want the vax and you lose your seats and can't regain them when all this nonsense is over.

Funny thing was when I was at the '19 GC game in CGY there was zero line 1hr before the game at my gate and the bag/body checkers just waved me in.  Maybe it's because I had a little kid with me, maybe CGY is just a relaxed place.  IGF is never that lenient.

I just want to watch football and cheer the blue....If you cant go, donate your tickets to charity, or find a non footballer to give too. I'm sure the bombers would refund cause of underlying health conditions and cant go.

And they are for sure getting buzz. People I know who wouldn't normally go are excited to go. If they can get more butts in the stands. Its great for the team.

With a sold-out game and all these steps to get in I would arrive there no later than 6 PM. Could take an hour to get into the building. Maybe you can bring a road rocket!

Isn't there just one extra step with checking the vax card/code? I for sure think there will be hiccups checking the cards (confirming against drivers license or scanning the QR, etc), but this might double your time at the gate. I don't think it's taken me longer than 5 minutes in line if I am getting there near kick off, so if that becomes 10 minutes that's not a huge deal.

Usually the time people come is staggered. Some come early to pregame and walk around, some come right for kick off, and others somewhere in between. It's not like everyone comes at once.

Definitely a good idea to err on the side of caution though so they can sort out issues.

true but it has been a while since a 30,000+ fan sell out to. I wish no ill will. I hope it goes smooth.
