I can say that we will be there in full force. Nice to see that all the hard work the people of Manitoba did to get fully vaccinated will pay off with 100% capacity.

It should be a great night.

I?ll be there.  My father is double vaxxed but has health issues.  I understand stadium can be 100 percent full.

Do fans need to wear masks?  Nothing was said so I assume so.

Single vaxxed not allowed? Seems like.

Looking for clarity

Year number 49 as a season ticket holder and nothing is going to stop me from being there!!!!!!!!
Of course I am fully vaccinated and ready to cheer for our team.
This was in the email just received from the Bombers:

Face Coverings
No masks are required while outdoors. Face coverings are encouraged in all indoor spaces and hallways at suite level, in the Pinnacle Club and Blue & Gold Clubs (applies to all attendees over the age of two).

So sitting in the stands outdoors, surrounded by others who all fully vaccinated, I will be very comfortable letting the TSN cameras and the rest of Canada see me smile and cheer!!
Mask will be in pocket ready for the bathroom break!

Go Bombers!

I hadn't even thought of looking for an email while here at work, but see it now.

I too will be smiling for everyone to see in my seats this season.

The place will be rockin' on August 5th!

Well..I will only know the day of August 5!

My second shot is July 22 which is exactly 2 weeks from August 5.

I'm hearing conflicting reports. Some people say that you got their QR code 14 days (counting the day of the second shot as Day 1) and others said counting the day of their second shot as Day 1 they had to wait 15 days.

NOT ME. I?ll miss the Grey Cup stuff which is super disappointing!! 25 years STH and can not celebrate first GC while a STH. I am beyond disappointed.

I?ll be 4 days away from being able to apply for the card.

I won?t have my card by then. I?m upset!

Can't se the stadium being full, but it will have a lot of people here.

I have my ST's and my vax-scene card, so I will be there.

Wondering what the concession protocols will be like... masks are apparently optional... I will be wearing one most of the time..

Few changes to Game Day experience;

- cashless payments at IG Field

- no tailgating allowed during the 2021
season.

- Bombers are encouraging fans to arrive early and to take advantage of the pre-game party (not sure what their tailgate area will look like)

- elevators are reserved for those that need to use them.

- fans will be assigned a specific gate to enter the stadium.

- tickets will be digital only.

- fans are being told to leave bags at home.

I grabbed my tickets. I had Carol cut lose game 1 for me because well you all know why by now. Carol tells me there will no banner raising no on field presentation or whatever. Not much of a GC celebration. So I guess I do not feel as bad. Still sucks though.

Congrats to those who get to see in a few weeks. I?ll be on here posting away!  Smiley

So I should be good to go as I will just show the QR code (chances are I still won't have the actual card as there are delays there).

Just so you know, everything before but is ********.

Carol would not lie, so if anything is incorrect she simply was not made aware of it.  I trust Carol, she is a legend.

I would be sad if there isn't anything big for the grey cup celebration, it would mean so much for the first real public gathering in so long.

I agree that Carol is awesome and that she would not lie. Likely that she might not be aware of what is planned, but odd that she?d say nothing is happening instead of something like ?I don?t know?.

Glad to hear full capacity allowed for game 1. I can't go since I live in Vancouver but I'll start thinking about whether I can go to games here. I'm fully vaccinated but attendance is currently very restricted.

Not sure if or when that improves.

1st Lions home game is August 19th against the Elks. That would be worth getting to see live!!.

Picked up a 3-game flex pack last night that includes this game (and also the Calgary game on Aug 29, and the Banjo Bowl!) with Jesse (from this forum). You can buy them right now if you don't/can't commit to a full season ticket package!

So we will be there!!!

I'll be with my #1d sign

Might also consider the giving a nod to our defensive mastermind mr. Hall

No bags? Why? Hard rule? Doesn't make sense.

It might be to help get people through the doors in time. Having attended a couple Valour games how it works is there's an initial checkpoint for your vaccine QR code and ID and then there's security and your game day ticket line right after. It basically doubles the time it takes for someone to get in. For a small soccer crowd, no big deal. For 30,000 it's going to add up. That, or they just want you to keep your potluck at home.  Grin

Just buy looking at Ticketmaster last night. Not a ton of seats still left. I bet at least 80/85% sold for sure. Great sign! People are pent up for something different, and to cheer the champs at home again!

I guess we will see how full it is.

I assume that there will be more "sold" than people in the stands as some season ticket holders will not qualify to attend...but that would still count as a ticket sold, right?

I won't be going, as my household is immuno-compromised, and we need some more data before we ease our personal restrictions that much.

I would very much appreciate if people could give post-game observations about the protocols.  How jammed are the ticket lines?  What is the concessions arrangements?  Are many of the crowd wearing masks voluntarily?  Etc.

I am particularly interested in any observations regarding the transit experience pre and post game.

I'll likely renew this request on game day, but I'm planting the seed now...

Is it smart to stand in front of 28000+ rowdy bomber fans???

I haven't done anything fun for a year and a half. This will be my "re-entry into the world". I plan on having a few.

Many others will be in the same situation as me.

So no, it is NOT SMART.

It is against the Highway Traffic Act to block traffic, the police usually let the natives block Portage & Main when they demonstrate but that is for a short period only. For an event like the Bomber game, I would bet the WPS would be arresting those people blocking the road very quickly.

I dunno.  Do your remember the game when kickoff was delayed for an hour because of the moose that was loose?  Let's hope this joker stays in can until after Grey Cup.

I had a heck of a time getting my code. My 1st shot, I got on April 6th, wasn't in my records. I finally sent a request to correct the mistake, after my second shot on June 28th. There is a link on your Shared Health page. It took a weeks to correct. Got my email last week. Applied for my card and BOOM, my code was there immediately. Card will take longer due to a shortage of cards, but as long as you have the QR code, you should be good. Make sure all your info is there, don't wait. There are thousands of people having problems with "missing" info.

I got my second shot July 11, so on July 25. as soon as I woke up, I went online and with a bit of info, got my immunization code. I will have to wait for my card, but I have my verification on my phone at least. So, it's exactly 2 weeks from the day you get your shot. As long as everything works

We hit the two weeks after final shot on July 4 - applied for the cards that day and just got them almost 3 weeks to the day after that.

Looking forward to being at the game but will admit to some anxiety over being in a crowd again..won't be upset if the seats behind me are empty - the idea of someone breathing and screaming behind me isn't sitting that well right now.  Hopefully that will change over time...plan is to mask up everywhere but my seat.  Personally I have no issues wearing a mask at stores and in public.

Yahoo! So does the official tailgate party area outside the stadium open 90 minutes prior as well, or just the main gates?

Want to make sure we are there at the earliest possible second to take it all in.

There is no tailgate party outside the stadium this year. The band will be playing inside the stadium.

Due to no tailgate party and the extra check in points it provided I expect long lines to get into the IG Field.

We are supposed to have assigned gates to enter based on seat location. The team should start communicating that info to the fans so that things run as smoothly as possible.

Oh ok, thanks. I read about the "no tailgating" thing where the specify the parking lots but wasn't sure about the official one that the Bomber hold just outside the stadium. Definitely assumed that the band would play there given the logistics of set-up and take-down within the stadium. Thanks for clarifying.
