If everything comes to a conclusion this weekend, and that doesn't look likely, we're looking at a December Grey Cup in Winnipeg.
2 Weeks Quarantine at home, 1 week in Winnipeg, 2 weeks for TC = Sept 26 start of the season. 9 Week season to give each team a week off and you end the season on Nov 29. 2 weeks for playoffs and you've got a Dec 20 GC in Winnipeg.
You could compress the season by not giving each team a bye week, but you're still looking at a December Grey Cup.

Yes, it doesn't add up to have it in Winnipeg anymore. However Toronto is doing very well with the NHL bubble and they have an indoor stadium which no one is using. Maybe we need Gary Bettman to take over, like him or not he makes things happen.

Receivers would need to run patterns on dog sleds in the snow in December? In theory players would be Covid free after a couple of months in a bubble. Playoffs in Vancouver under the dome?

None. How many football games have you seen played there in December? How much snow did Winnipeg experience in December 2019 and what was the temperature on Dec 20?

Zero games, and in the future there will be zero games. Normally average 13.64 cm of snow. 2.64 cm rain. Average temp. -8 to -17. Record high in December plus 8. And just for the record we don't live in igloo's. lol.

Hmmm. Better than I thought. Bud Grant would let them play in that with no gloves or heaters.

This is really concerning. Not sure if teams can take this financial hit. Sad day.
