I have to side with Aardvark...From what I have seen in pre-seson...practice and limited game reps....he will be a very serviceable back-up with more upside than Strev's...and better than any one who is gonna be available...and looking like that this is gonna be the case now with Strev about to be released

That's when you know you're drinking the blue kool-aid.

Makes you argue Chad Remple is a "top canadian" and that the #1 overall in the pick is a freebie, among other things

BOMBERS ADD TWO LINEMEN

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed American offensive lineman Kevin Lawrence and Jarell Broxton.

Lawrence (6-4, 310, Rhode Island, January 17, 1998, Bloomfield, Conn) started all 11 games on the offensive line in his Junior year and was named to CAA Football Comissioner's Academic Honor Roll. Lawrence started 12 games in his senior year at right tackle and helped allow just 2.17 sacks per game in his senior year.

Broxton
(6-3, 330, Baylor, March 23, 1993 in Olney, MD) was a two-year starter for the Bears after transferring from junior college. He was an all Big-12 first-team selection and helped the Bears to the nation's No. 2-ranked rushing offense. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2016, and spent most of that season on their practice roster.

With JFG coming back to the fold does that mean one of our canadian receivers is going on their way out?

Rempel is a decent LS, and plays hard, but his body is a physical wreck. He barely practices as is. I like the guy, but I don't see him playing passed this year or next. He's gotta think about long term.

He's a LS...other than one dirty hit last year he has almost zero mileage by football standards. He gets hit about as much as a punter.

He barely practices because...he is the LS. What else is he supposed to do?

Remple is more than just a LS, he is a character guy, and most of all, Medlock is comfortable with him.  That is HUGE.  If your LS makes your P/K better, you'd be crazy not to make sure you have the best...
