Anyone know why the Bombers aren't doing a depth chart this year?  I assume this will only be for the pre-season and we will see actual depth charts come regular season?

Looks like Edmonton has decided to leave the offense at home, and not run the risk of losing key pieces to defensive guys trying to win a spot on a roster that looks like it might be a very difficult one to crack.

Most likely is the case I don't recall a depth chart last year for pre season games either but I am probably wrong.

Probably because it's just BS.

Players competing for spots will likely line up in several positions. If Walker is going to be playing CB, HB, and SAM, what's the point in seeing him lined up behind Fogg at HB on a depth chart? It wouldn't mean anything.

There were always depth charts for TC and pre-season games in past years.  This is the first year I've seen this from the Bombers.

Every other team has them...why not the Bombers?  It'd be nice to hear reason why from the Bombers. Some people, like yourself, have no use for them, but others find them interesting.

I'm going with no depth chart because why do I want to tell everybody in Canada where I think the teams at when I don't have to yet? I want to keep the competition going, I want to see who wants it....

And why don't the links to previous depth charts work anymore? It's like the BB's have gone all cloak and dagger with depth charts this year.  Roll Eyes Other teams are all posting them... seems weird.

I too thought it was wierd and remember having depth charts available in the past couple years; but didn't figure much of it especially since I can't watch this game anyways.

It looks like the only teams that have kept an archive of their depth charts are Edmonton and Hamilton. All other teams have removed previous years from their site.

Since the Bombers haven't actually released a depth chart yet, whoever manages the page may not have had a reason to go in and update theirs to 2018 yet.

This makes me crazy.  Archived depth charts are an invaluable resource in researching my forum argument positions on a variety of issues....

Maybe Ed Tait can chime in on this issue on depth charts...

#Bombers make 3 changes to final roster adding three @WinnipegRifles...Rec. Brendan Naujoks, DL Hayden Ellis, and DB Andrew Ricard. Roster now stands at 73 players.

this I don't get....why....never gonna make it, and just takes valuable reps away from someone who could do something that makes a difference in being cut, or making it in some regard...

Think big picture and territorial exemption.
