Two more DB's eliminated from contention, could it be they flunked their medical?

Winnipeg has transferred International defensive back Travis Howard to the retired list and released International defensive back Ezra Robinson. #Bombers

More likely that better prospects came available.

Rookie Camp Day One
By Ed Tait

FYI:

Bombers receiver Chris Givens, who dressed for three regular season games and made two starts - three if the West Semi-Final is included - is no longer listed on the team's roster. No decision has been made yet on whether he will be suspended or released out right.

"As of right now, he's not reporting," said O'Shea. "Where we put him or what gets done administratively, I don't know yet."

Meanwhile, the club added three players before camp:

RB Jhurell Pressley (5-10, 205, University of New Mexico) played four seasons with the Lobos, rushing for 2,725 yards and 35 touchdowns. In 2014, Pressley led the nation with a 9.5-yard rushing average, establishing a new Lobo record. Pressley signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.

DB Mohammed Seisay (6-2, 202, University of Nebraska) played two seasons with the Cornhuskers and was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Seisay joined the Detroit Lions in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, playing in 13 games.

RB Johnny Augustine (5-9, 202, University of Guelph) played five seasons with the Gryphons, rushing for 2,742 yards and 28 touchdowns on 483 rushes. In his senior year, Augustine rushed for 690 yards and nine touchdowns on 122 carries.

The club also announced the signing of receiver Brisly Estime early in the day, but he promptly failed his physical and was released. The team also transferred defensive back Travis Howard to the retired list and released International defensive back Ezra Robinson.

Adam Bighill's one-year contract with the #Bombers is worth $175,000, per source. Reasonable price for one of the #CFL's best defensive players. #CFL

Didn't we just sign Simon less than a week ago? It's becoming a good thing we were signing so many DB's since they are going nearly as fast.

Yeah, that's a head scratcher. He signed on May 14th.

BOMBERS CAMP REPORT - DAY 2

OUCH REPORT:

Not practising on Monday were LB/DB Maurice Leggett, RB Kienan LaFrance, WR Tony Stevens, and DE Trent Corney. And near the end of practice WR Tyrone Pierre, the Bombers fifth-round draft pick earlier this month, pulled up hobbling on a reception and limped off the field.

LaFrance, FYI, will be out at least a week.

"We're just taking it smart," said O'Shea. "We know who he is."

COMINGS/GOINGS:

The Bombers moved DB Zavian Bingham to the retired list on Monday.

Here's my #Bombers depth chart as we enter Day 3 of training camp...

A couple notes: I have Fenner ahead of Leggett at the dimeback only because Leggett is still recovering from his Achilles' surgery. When Leggett is healthy - and they will remain patient with him - I see Fenner moving to halfback. #Bombers

At those positions where there are a lot of bodies, namely middle linebacker and defensive back, I've just stacked most of the new guys together. Firlotte has been working with the LBs. Walker, Clarke, Cooper, and Sayles are getting early work with the second-team D. #Bombers

At "the X" Canadian receiver spot, Simonise is already pushing Wolitarsky. This will be a fun battle to watch as camp continues. Washington, Coney, and White are the early leaders amongst the newcomers. #Bombers

There hasn't been a lot of special teams work so far, but we should soon get a better look at some of the candidates who will push Fogg and Lankford for return duties.  #Bombers

Final note; #Bombers 33rd-overall draft pick Arnaud Gendron-Dumouchel is taking summer classes and will return to the University of Montreal this year - the only draft pick who remains unsigned, but Winnipeg will retain his rights. No doubt we'll notice when a 6'9" dude shows up.

#Bombers add three Internationals this morning; 6?1? 198lb receiver Kenbrell Thompkins, 6?2? 210lb receiver Rueben Randle (NY Giants? 2012 2nd-round draft pick), and 5?9? 180lb defensive back Robert Priester.

The club has released International receiver Tony Stevens.

-------------------------------------------

Don't recognize most of the names, but holy did we add a guy with experience in Rueben Randle. He was a big part of the Giants offence for a few years.

Too bad about Stevens. That being said I honestly have no clue what's happening at receiver. We seem to have 5 rookies who have solid NFL experience or are looking good in camp. Where were these dudes last year?
