Will the fans at the rink bring back the whiteout ?...or are they gonna stick with the glum blue look on the television ?.....I'm thinking another whiteout playoff series in the peg would be super cool to see again

An wouldn't Harlequin be a bigger draw in Winnipeg ? Lol

Yes the whiteout will be back.

Wild are a good team - anything can happen in the playoffs. The jets should be favored based on record and that Suter is injured, but they do have some recent playoff experience and some great players.

This series could go either way in 6 or 7 games

That would a complete collapse and failure of the season if Minny won.

With Spurgeon and Suter out...  our home ice advantage, and us being 9-1-0 in the last 10 and a 4 game winning streak, and they are 4-2-4 with a 2 game losing streak...

I like our chances...

That is all history now. Now the real season starts.

As it stands right now minny has only lost 6 more games than us - that isn?t a huge margin.   They are not slouches by any means.   It?s a huge cliche but once the playoffs start the regular season means nothing.

Do I think the jets have more talent ?  Yes I do - but that doesn?t always guarantee a win.  Last year Minnesota finished in 2nd and lost to the Blues in the first round.

There is a fan initiated push to encourage all fans attending tonight?s game to wear green in support of the Humboldt Broncos. The Jets, Blackhawks and NHL are each adding $25,000 to the 50/50 with the proceeds being given to the team. Also the players on both  teams will be wearing the name Broncos on the jerseys instead of their own names. I can?t imagine there will be a dry eye in the arena during the moment of silence. So heartbreaking!

Zero need to play Hellbuyck...he gets hurt and playoffs are done.  He isn?t going to suddenly get rusty.

If he gets hurt in game 1, 2, 3 4... of the playoffs we're done too...

If he wants to play, let him play.  Buff and Lowry are out there to protect him... if Chicago decides they want to take any liberties...

He is chasing the most wins in a season for a US born goalie... and who knows what bonuses are in his contract...

As to rust... first game is when?  Wed?  That would be 6 days since he last played... or 3 if he plays tonite..  keep him in the groove.

Goalies can get hurt on any play - not just a team running them - if he gets hurt in the playoffs that?s bad luck - he gets hurt tonight, it?s bad coaching and avoidable.

Never even heard of this ?US Born goalie? record...team is bigger than any individual record.

Silly move

Im not sure any team sat their regs. Maurice said last week that the last 2 games would be the regs to get tuned up.

So, we should sit Hellebuyck un game one and two as well, then.  At home, we should win them easily, and even if we lose two, we still can win 4 of 5 with Hellebuyck...

When you take your foot off and coast is when you get injured.  When you are not sharp and in the game, you get injured.  Sitting Hellebuyck tells the rest of the team to coast.  Might save Bucky a small percentage chance of injury, but it opens up 18 other guys to it.

You play your game one starting lineup in game 82, unless a player is legit hurt/banged up and can benefit from a day off.

Now you are just being silly - you don?t rest players in a playoff...not even the same as meaningless regular season game.   Maurice gambled and won - took a risk and it paid off.

Who wins the tie breaker between Winnipeg and Boston if they win?
