Morrissey hasn't missed a game yet this season, be a shame for that streak to end if not necessary. Maybe reduce his icetime a little but don't sit him in the pressbox.

Agreed. I don't know if he needs rest. I'd look at giving Byfuglien and Myers a game or two off, though.

Niku is a LHD so that?s why I assumed it?d be Morrissey or Morrow. But I think Morrow can also play RHD so Myers isn?t a bad idea either.

Jets played just awful that game - same as how the preds played against buffalo. Chicago isn't a good team this season - its more than just Crawford and the fact a backup goalie and essentially a glorified beer league goalie beat the jets speaks to how poorly the jets played.  Thankfully they bounced back from that debacle.

I will not start a big debate on this - but I still think Crawford is the primary reason.  Chicago will finish this year on par with their total goals scored in 2016-17 and 2015-16 when they were Stanley Cup contenders - however their goals against this year is far higher than the past few years.  Their problems this year are mostly defensive, starting with their goaltending.

I agree.   Helly this year has made us a Cup team.

Hawks have lost Chevy to us.  Maybe thats an issue?

This is big Jets news:

NEWS: #mnwild  defenseman Ryan Suter will require surgery to repair a fracture in his right ankle suffered Saturday night at Dallas and will miss the remainder of the season.

Myers sure gave it to that Senator.  I like his toughness.

And he?s back.

And returned with a mean streak. I like it! ;D

Ugly game once the Jets chose to take their foot off the gas. Take the two points, trash the game tape, and move on to Montreal.

Points in the standings are largely irrelevant to me - just want to not get players injured..

Trading Hjalmarsson was the start of the decline. Crawford got hurt and Seabrooke fell off the face of the earth. Keith is the only d-man who wasn't a healthy scratch all year. There goes the season.

Apparently Kyle Connor gets a huge bonus (around $250,000) if he hits 30 goals. I guess that's why Scheifele tried to pass it to him despite being on a breakaway. :D
Also Hellebuyck is tied for 2nd all-time in wins for American goaltenders in a season with 42. Either Tom Barrasso or Mike Richter leads with 43. Sorry can't remember between the 2 of them who is the leader and who he is tied with right now.

Laine is due a huge bonus too if he finishes in the top 10 in NHL goals scored, which he will.

Barrasso has 43,  Helly is tired with Richter.
