Heard last night the other guy was so drunk, he got tossed from the club, waited for McKenna and threw the first punch.  Also heard that he had called McKenna's mother a whore.  Insult my mother and throw a punch?  You are going to go down, sir.  And stay down.

The guy was looking for his 15 minutes, and got a broken jaw in the deal.

I think McKenna is going to walk away from this looking like a badass, not a felon.

Sounds more like a bar fight now, he's max going to get a fine.  And it shouldn't affect his draft...

I don't even know if I'd call it that considering what reportedly took place. It sounds like the so-called victim, PSU student Josh Coakley, has more than his fair share of blame to shoulder. There are allegations he instigated things by verbally harassing McKenna's mother and then following them out of the bar where the physical altercation took place.

Hard to feel any sympathy for a dumb kid trying to pick a fight with a Yukon-bred hockey player by going after his mother. That's stupidity personified, IMO.

In Gavin's shoes, I'd have probably done the same.
