Jets get Dillon from Caps for 2 picks in successive years, the Caps don't protect goalie Vanecek & lose him to Seattle in their Draft Yesterday the Caps gave up next year 2nd rd pick, that they just got from the Jets, to get Vanecek back ..... win for both teams  Terrific goalie Grubauer is lost by the Avs to the Kraken in a late UFA move yesterday, without a top goalie the Avs have to give up big to get Kuemper from the Coyotes definitely a win for the Coyotes & Seattle while a wait & see for the Avs |

Looks like Montreal will start the year a little short handed on the backend.
Price is still out and will not be in the lineup for the season opener.
Weber is out for the year.
Edmundson is out and will not make it back for the season opener.
Niku has a concussion, no that he is one of there top six.
Montreal may start Kulak, Romanov, Guhle, Savard, Chiarot, and Petry, with Wideman as there 7th D -man.
