There are several transactions listed on CFL.CA that are curious this week.

Hansen and Novak moved to PR. Dixon moved to reserve. Peterson and Vanterpool moved to AR. None of those make much sense IMO.

Why would we add a 2nd import OL as a back up? We're also 1 Canadian short at the moment. So I expect more shuffling before the game.

It almost seems they are moving PR bodies around so that they are under contract and will not become free agents whenever the season is completed.

Just a guess but either Vanterpool or Elsbury will be shuffled off to the reserve this week.

No more excuses

End of season manipulation of the roster has begun, more likely related to who they want to bring back next season than anything to do with the upcoming playoff game. Maybe we'll see a few surprises but until the game depth chart is published every move made will remain a mystery.

Unlike most past seasons Walters has not announced any re-signings with left over SMS money, it's as if CFL revenue and budgets have become so unpredictable any forecast made is highly likely to be wrong.

That's what I figured as well. That said, they could have moved Vanterpool or Dixon to 1 game IR as examples. Moving Dixon from PR to reserve is just odd.

Anyway, we'll see what happens tomorrow and I'd expect to see Collaros moved to reserve or 1 game IR.

EDIT: Dixon now moved to AR. Vanterpool moved to reserve. Peterson moved back to PR.  Now we have an extra DL that is excess to allowed imports and we're short 1 Canadian.

What will tomorrow bring. lol

The season hasn't even ended yet. Id expect re-signing announcements in November and December.

Yah, but there were always a few re-signings announced during the last few games of the season, I believe Zach signed a one year contract extension last year before the season was even over.
