The lower level will be reconfigured for soccer and concerts.

No mention of the Als.
One would think they need to be in on this (sooner than later) as it guarantees a home stadium for at least the next 50 years.
Otherwise, the team will need to sink massive amounts of money into McGill during that time frame.

I was right there for our ESF game weekend. They have all those attractions on the same lot. Tons of work going on there. It's a great plot of land.

I was reading stuff about it and there is definitely talk going on about the Als moving there. I mean, why wouldn't you? The venue would need regular events that guarantee usage.

The downside would be that it's probably still too big and will have the BC problem of looking somewhat empty. I think the CFL draw from the French fans is limited. Though the ones that are fans are pretty rabid just like us and SSK.

There's also chatter of getting a MLB team again. That may conflict with the CFL season.
Never go full Johnston!

The renderings show a curtain that hides the upper deck, resulting in a hoseshoe shape lower bowl that seats nearly 30,000 for football.
Still a bit big for the Als, but maybe they can grow their attendance in the future.

I think the Als will very likely move back to Olympic stadium.

The modernization will not be adaptable to baseball.
A MLB team in Montreal will need a new stadium.

They can't fill the current stadium at 23K.

At least they will get a few Grey Cups.
