But it also fair to say that, so far, the tinkering they've done has been pretty successful if you ask me. That a good sign I think.

I'm totally fine with any tinkering that doesn't cost money or become irreversible.  The field change costs gobs of money, perhaps trickling down to HS/U sports, and once that money is spent no one would dare reverse it.

The GP will also cost a lot of money, but not as much, and could possibly be reversed.  But it's also untenable money for HS/U to reverse should the follow suit.

So go nuts with testing out the rouge change or the clock change or whatever.  But the ones that we all know will be written in stone once done, and things heretofore sacrosanct, ya I have a big problem with that.

Johnston is cursing all 10 games so far this season for being so darn entertaining!  He's so wishing they all stunk.

To me, the whole 35 second clock thing is a sham. Like others have pointed out consistently inconsistent

In week 1 TSN would show the 35s clock more.  I caught them showing it start and count down then at 30 or so reset, wait a sec, then start counting again.  And there was no reason, no ref conference, no call to the timer, no injury, nothing.

Now I've noticed TSN doesn't show the 35s clock at all right after a play.  And they rarely show it even as it's counting closer to 20!  They became aware it's not being done the way Johnston said and are covering for him.
