Elgersma gives us the possibility of someone coming in and giving us more than that. Worst case scenario he's no more effective than Streveler or any of the other terrible backups. Best case, he learns quick and takes over the job. You only get that chance if you've got a guy like him and not like Jake Maier or whatever.

So you think Elgersma is, right now, the likely #2?  You're probably in the minority.  I was there with you, but I'm coming around to Perkins.  Why?  Because he has lots of pro experience.  Elgersma has none.

Pro experience might trump 3-down experience.

They might be so close (in suckage), though, that we do a musical QBs thing where one gets 2 games, then we go to the other.  Like 2013.

I agree that if there's one guy you want to get all the reps for the future, it's Elgersma.
