Oct. 23, 2016. The ice condition was lousy and the glare from the sun delayed the game.

No idea why they don't just move this back 2-3 weeks, even around Remembrance Day.

They'll want to have the game on a weekend, and it could interfere with a home playoff game should the Bombers get one if scheduled in the first couple of weeks in November.
I went to the first Heritage Classic and that was enough. 32,343 seats and none of them any good for a watching a hockey game. Sum 41 tailgate concert was worth it though.

Sir Blue and Gold

I'll go just because why not but the event definitely has lost a lot of luster. It's just not really a great way to watch a hockey game and the novelty of it being outside isn't really very compelling the second time through.

I should've considered the CFL playoff implications, so early November is out of the question.

The Grey Cup next year is on Nov. 15th. That potential scheduling conflict could be avoided by having the Heritage Classic a week later.

Late October in the afternoon didn't work so well in 2016. Unless the start time has been moved into the late afternoon/early evening, the same challenges related to ice quality and glare would remain this time around.

The 2016 HC weekend was a ton of fun with the events around the stadium, the live entertainment, the alumni game on the Saturday, etc. It's definitely a novelty but a really fun weekend overall from what I remember.

I already weep for the beer prices for this event.

I was very sad to have missed the first one and so will do my best to get to this one. I totally get it's for the novelty and gimmicks and I'm fine with that. Marries my two loves together.
