TSN CFL Top-50 Player show

The top-50 players show was fun.  A bit of a shakeup in terms of WPG players.  But when you factor in ex-Bombers, we still have an outsized influence.

Lots of OL, DL and LBers making the list this year.  Less QBs it seems.

Brady still #1.

But Milligan #2?  Seriously?

And BLM #3?  What are they smoking?  BLM is 50/50 to have a great vs horrible season.

McInnis the best REC (#6)?  Did these guys not watch the last third of the season when McInnis did nothing?  Ya, fantasy players know (and got burned) on that one.

Rourke #7?  He did nothing last season except lose games.  This is pure wishful thinking and pining for a few seasons ago.  Remains to be seen if he now has the returned-from-NFL curse so common in the CFL.  Compare to Zach at #10.

As for snubs: Holm didn't make the list at all, but Ty.Ford in there at #9?  Pffft.

One word: Boveralls. They must have cried in the studio when that string was finally broken. TSN seems to have decided he's a good story and they want more of the same this year. That's my theory.

Like the "far too early team rankings", this (other than #1) is a farce.

I get Milligan, but guys like BLM?  Maybe at the 45 spot... ORourke, Adams?  Ahead of Zach? Really?

Kadeem Carey at #19?  He's not even in the top 3 RB's on the Argos.  He was cut and hasn't signed elsewhere.

DL are easier to rate thanks to stats, but OL are tougher, and much as I love Sir Stanley, not sure he's top 50 anymore.

Ty Ford is a great DB, but top 10?  Betting his bro don't like the rankings...
