Yes I agree... there is all  kinds of very good new music, people have not stopped making music.

But many people do stop listening after they reach a certain age.

And I agree that you do have to hunt for it.  Definitely will not find any on most radio stations, campus radio is about it. Even that is hit and miss.

I was fortunate when I was a kid my mother was open to and appreciated the music I listened to.

I dislike every one of these acts, but I am happy to see concerts return to the stadium.

They should do a street heart, the mongrels, BTO, Guess Who, concert.

Fleetwood Mac!  It was either Big Stan or Yoshi who said the hoggies all went and it was amazing, when he thought he'd hate it.

Quote from: TecnoGenius on February 05, 2025, 07:28:57 AMIf they said 21,000 (i.e. sold seats) then you can bet 21,000 butts were in seats.  No one paid the prices they were asking and then didn't show up or resell their ticket!!  Weather was perfect, too.

The only way the number is wrong is if they just outright lied to save face.

Ya, someone call the NFL players a waaahmbulance.

No there were not 21,000 butts in the seats.  21,000 seats sold does not mean 21,000 people in the stadium.  It means 21,000 seats distributed (actually paid for or otherwise), not 21,000 people scanned going into the stadium.

Ok, if you think they gave out a ton of freebies that were thrown in the bin, sure.  But can that / does that happen with an NFL game?  This isn't your average late-season hard-to-sell-out CFL game!

My point was that (mostly) every ticket actually sold at face value was attended.  Prices were silly sick.  Even wealthy people don't just pee away $1k in tickets for them and their group.

Going by memory, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the seats had butts in them.  So may you're right in that the promoter just gave away all the rest.  Sounds like a dumb plan if your goal is to make money IMHO.  I recall you could visibly see where the price tiers were in the stands.  As soon as you got near the corners things were packed, but across the aisle closer to C was dead.  Winnipeg cheap!

Jason Aldean is out due to "scheduling conflict."  Sure thing :D There's no scheduling conflict.  Likely cancelled due to poor ticket sales as you can see from the ticket map.  Jason Aldean isn't that big of a draw in many places - see ticket sales for many arenas on ticketmaster ie. Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

He is now replaced by Riley Green.

I saw Foreigner last year for what was supposed to be their last tour in Canada.

Difference this time is it's possible Lou Gramm might be the singer as he's playing a number of the dates on the tour (all international shows so far).
