I was right, MOS ended up wearing the army hat for the GC.  Burn that hat.  Destroy it with fire.

Bring back the torn hat.

The army hat went to 1 GC and we lost it by like 30 (before pity points).

The torn hat went to 4 GC and won 2, and lost 2 by only a handful of points.  I'll take the torn hat record any day of the week.

every time he went on the field to try a field goal he entered at the forty five yard line lol, no matter where the ball was placed.

my favourite all time, dont know if it was suspicion or not field goal kicker Bernie Ruoff always wore a wrist watch when he went on to kick. 😂

as an avoider of black cats, these things makes sense to me. as does the lucky hat question.

i don't think the hat had any bearing on the game or ever will. I know some players can be superstitious, while others are suspicious and those emotionally fragile folks need all the help they can get. Also, Bernie was awesome in a nerdy way for wearing his watch during games, but he smoked alot of weed!!

How do you know that?  (I know, you have inside info, but I'd love to know the source.)  See my 2024-08-20 post... I spotted the torn hat on a telecast this season.  So he didn't sell it before then!

How can anyone let that storied and famous hat go?  That thing should be in a display case @PAS or at MOS's home.  If he let it go for $50 then I'm devastated.  I would have bid bigly on it.  I still remember the pressers: "Mike why is your hat torn, why not get a new one".  MOS: "I thought they came that way" (deadpan).

If the hat is still in MOS/WFC possession I want to see it back next season.  The army hat was bad luck!  If the torn hat is gone, then time for a completely new one.

And no, I'm not even slightly superstitious, but I find this type of stuff entertaining and firmly believe that others believe in their lucky charms.
