We've seen this a few times every season. Baby due, or family crisis of some sort.

I hope all is well with him and his family in the long run.

Yeah, it could still be just about anything. There are things more important than football. Players have life outside of the sport. Business investments and family can sway a player away temporarily or permanently at times.
