To my eye over the last 10-15 years it looks like WPG has much longer good/bad cycles

I was a season ticket holder from 1990-2019

Not sure why I put in the effort, but I thought about this:

1990 - 1994 up cycle (5 seasons):
1990: 12-6, GC win
1991: 9-9
1992: 11-7, GC loss
1993: 14-4, GC loss
1994: 13-5
Pretty solid team- too bad we couldn't keep the Grey Cup tap ON!

1995 - 2000 down cycle(6 seasons):
1995: 7-11
1996: 9-9
1997: 4-14
1998: 3-15
1999: 6-12
2000: 7-10
Depressing

2001 - 2003 up cycle (3 seasons):
2001: 14-4, GC loss
2002: 12-6
2003: 11-7
First half of Milt/Charlie/Khari (at their peak). When I became a fan. Probably felt amazing after the previous 6 years...

2004 - 2007 mid cycle (4 seasons):
2004: 7-11
2005: 5-13
2006: 9-9
2007: 10-7-1, GC loss
Pretty uninspiring saga after how it first begun, with legends on our team and we couldn't get the cup. Some unfortunate circumstances in there

2008 - 2015 down cycle (8 seasons):
2008: 8-10
2009: 7-11
2010: 4-14
2011: 10-8, GC loss
2012: 6-12
2013: 3-15
2014: 7-11
2015: 5-13
Worst period in Bomber history in most of our lifetimes. Worse than Reinbold. Opened a new stadium with 3-15 - our worst records since...'98

2016 - present up cycle (7+ seasons):
2016: 11-7
2017: 12-6
2018: 10-8
2019: 11-7, GC win
2020: N/A
2021: 11-3, GC win
2022: 15-3, GC loss
2023: 10-3, GC...?
I wasn't around for the 80s teams...so combined with the first half of the 90s, what era is better? I guess that can be determined once this glory era inevitably comes to an end

The downs definitely were longer than  the ups for most of that.

This present period we're in has been just fantastic. I have become incredibly spoiled and abrasive to those who don't worship our greatness.

You might have to make a category for "plateau", because that first era certainly seems like a sustained high.

Now all we need is jayrock or Ridermania to do the same for SSK!!  I want to see how their cycles compare.  I don't know why I have the general impression their cycles are faster / more numerous.

I will point out the difference, I guess:

School teachers teach a curriculum of knowledge that form the building blocks for success in many areas.

You are asking people to remember game(s) they attended 7+ years ago to try to estimate how many Bombers fans attended (I guess, based on blue in seats) so you can compare how well a non-defined group of people travelled when their team was less successful.

Again, I care.  And that is enough.  And enough people cared to make this thread 3 pages long.  I've found people tend to like to reminisce about their LDC trips.  It's clearly an important thing in many people's lives.

Why do you care enough to bash my curiosity?  I really don't understand people who go around mocking people for asking questions.  Back to the school teachers: remember how they all drilled into everyone that "there are no dumb questions"?  It wasn't: "there are no dumb questions as long as they match the curriculum".
