that is true...maybe this is part of the "new" scheme...all i know is that we will lose field position when playing a team like Toronto who has a great returner (Leake) and a kicker that can boom them deep.

It would be odd to say the least if that was part of any " new scheme ".  What possible advantage would that be for the Bombers? As mentioned the Als constantly had better field position then they should have after K/O's.

On the other hand, for some strange reason Castillo was line driving them most of the game. There was like a 30 yard gap between the cover team and where Montreal was fielding it often. Cover team needs to cover but he wasn't exactly setting them up for success on a lot of kicks.
On the worthy return just before the half he got the ball before any of our coverage had crossed the 40...hard to cover that gap

Sadly, our special teams is average since we have an average special teams coordinator....  Oh well, I guess we learned from the Legghio experiment that we do need a kicker to win a Cup.

I am a little disappointed in the depth of our kick offs but the coverage is not great either.

Tonight will be interesting to see if getting Gauthier back makes any noticeable difference.

EDIT: Didn't really notice Gauthier and didn't see a great improvement on ST's.
I didn't notice him on teams but did at LB.  Might need a bit to get rev'd up on ST.
