The plastic on the turf on the sidelines in TOR is insane.  There's no buffer zone.  Someone is going to get seriously injured on that one day.  If they must cover it, then they need to come up with something that has grip, like put down plywood sheets connected together with stick-on or screw-on grips every few inches.

I can't believe the CFLPA puts up with this.  If I was going to be running onto that stuff, I'd do the ol' wet banana slide thing instead of trying to decelerate on that stuff.

I am appreciating Begelton more and more as this game goes on

Begel isn't as good as his 1st 2-3 seasons, but like I said in the "contentious" thread, I'd love to see him in blue & gold.  He has a massive heart and never quits, and seems like a genuine, good guy.  And he has the best hands on CGY in years.

But CGY will never let him go, and I think his years of commanding huge $$ are over.  I think he stays loyal to CGY too, meaning he won't accept more $$ to move.

Begelton is definitely the sleeper fantasy pick of the week.  Anyone picking him all season has gotten burned, but tonight he's worth his modest price.

I'm at 6:00 left in the 4th.  TOR has -1 DBs left, their SAM is a MIKE and thus can be killed by any SB... and the last 5 or so snaps by CGY O they've done runs and short passes and sacks.  Maier has had time on all these plays to throw it mid/deep.  Why are they not chucking it?  I'm freaking out right now at the weak CGY play calls.  When there are no DBs you chuck that ball!

I picked TOR to win and I'm ok with either team winning.  But if you're CGY and you have the best game of the season why are you not picking on TOR's big weakness at the moment?

Wow, so many injuries in this game on both sides, and no bye left for TOR to heal.  I can't recall a game where a team ran out of DBs.  I guess we shouldn't complain that we dress 4 extra DBs, effectively.

I guess eh?. Reminds me of when modano got crushed and they brought the stretcher out only to dump him off the stretcher!!

LOL, I don't remember that, but that's hilarious!  Ah, checked the youtube, hockey, rofl.  That's some funny stuff!  Of course, not for Modano...

Reminds me that when they carted that MTL MLB off the field @IGF Thurs night I was watching and that huge dude nearly cause the cart to do a wheelie, because for some reason our cart has half the stretcher attachment sticking out beyond the rear!  Designers never heard of the law of the lever?  300 lb MLB on a long lever isn't a good idea...

Calgary's play calling late certainly wasn't taking advantage of the Argo injuries. Even before the injuries they were having great success in their passing game. So don't know what their OC was thinking.

Injury to Amos looked quite serious. Possible broken ankle? Haggerty appeared to have some sort of shoulder or wrist injury. I would think both are headed for 6 game IR. Not sure is Amos will be able to return this season.

Cal. can be a good team, they have been close in many games. If they figure it out they could make some noise come playoffs. One of the stats guys, how many win/losses until they are eliminated?

T.O IMO is the best team in the CFL today. the biggest difference between them and us is special teams, Leake is the best in the league, they have great coverage teams, solid kicking and when the game is on the line, Bede booms a 75yrd single to go up by 8. It was T.O's special teams that outplayed us in the Grey Cup.

T.O has had a relaxing first half with all the byes, and mostly healthy let's see how they handle a half without all the rest, it looks like a couple bad injuries last game.

Thanks for the late chime in Tecno and others.

With Toronto losing two DBs I could see them looking at Parker sitting on our PR.

Begelton had a very good game with 207 yards.  Calgary needs to get there running game going.

Toronto has looked very good. Re specials, Leake has been unreal (4 TD returns in 8 games) but Grant when healthy is no slouch. We definitely have to improve our coverage. Toronto is also a very physical team which will be a challenge, and they are younger than us in a lot of key positions (O-line, QB, MLB). Kelly has made some bad decisions lately with interceptions, but if anything I think Zach the veteran has been even worse, which is surprising.

However, they are starting to experience injuries and they have no more bye weeks (although they are so far ahead of Montreal, they can probably rest players at the end as necessary). I am very interested to see how we match up on Sept 29th. I think we should see Bombers at their best and most motivated for that game.

Leake is 6'0" 205, Grant 5'9" 157, didn't realize he's that slight. Mite explain why he's missed a number of game over the years.

Argos have McFadden as a healthy scratch and he's played 11 games for them. They also have Carnell and Priester on 6 game IR. Not sure if either is healthy or has any chance of coming off IR early.

They might target Parker or ADS but I'm not sure they will.
