Phil Norman Offensive lineman has a significant medical episode prior to practice today and is in stable condition. He will be held over night for observation. BC Lions practice was cancelled today. The Blue Bomber Forum sends there well wishes for a speedy recovery.

Cancelling practice for 1 day may be ok.  If they don't practice tomorrow or again before the game, that'll be detrimental to the team.  Lots of new pieces in that team that need to gel.

Best wishes to Norman, on a quick diagnosis and (hopefully) recovery.  If he's gone a while, how does this affect their OL?  They have enough good depth?  How pivotal is Norman?

His EKG came back normal but they are keeping him in the hospital overnight for observation.

Scary....but we wish him a full recovery and good health going forward.

The Lions have issued an update on the status of Phil Norman. He is conscious, stable and alert. He is still in hospital to undergo more tests and monitoring.

It said he collapsed before the practice walk-through.  I have a question: would that be after warm-up or before warm-up?

Norman was expected to be released from hospital yesterday afternoon. Testing still being done to determine what caused the event. Hopefully he'll be ok in the long run.
