Quote from: Blue In BC on July 29, 2026, 02:59:30 AMThe problem is that we have 8 players that are nicked and are not 100%. The daily IR lists the OT's, Demski, Oliveria on offence. The others are replacements or depth potentially.

So it's inevitable that some will play at less than top form. Some may not be able to play. We'll know who plays when we see the depth chart but not their real level of health.

Demski always plays well and seems to miss many practices sessions. So not worried about him. The others in particular Oliveria are all a concern. Those are not positions you can under perform due to health. OTOH, I don't see many choices either.

Same report as last week for BO20. Brady will play he has the ultimate recovery zone in his backyard. He will be fired up and ready to go.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Someone get those hoggies a knee brace!!  Holy moses, we used to regularly have braced-up hoggies.  Now, I haven't seen one all season?  Brace up and get your big butt back to the LoS!  IR is for wusses!

He wasn't effective for the last two weeks. Whether that was play calling or opposition defences is only partially the question. Obviously he's nicked with a hip issue.

I'm still inclined to add Peterson in case he can't finish the game.

Vanterpool in for Broxton who was moved to 1 game IR. On paper that suggests Vanterpool was removed from 6 game IR early but was a necessity.  Woodbey back for Jackson which is a positive move.

Broxton only on the 1 game IR is probably a good sign he'll be back soon.

In theory Dixon could come off the 6 game IR but is still showing on the 6 game. I take that to mean he was extended and / or he's been passed on depth chart by Reese. The downside is that he can't practice. I'm not sure why they didn't move him to the 1 game IR so he could participate.

I find how we're using the IR rosters and not using the RR a bit odd. Essentially our SMS hit on the 1 game IR is almost nothing compared to normal. Ditto for using the RR.

That's a good thing I suppose in regard to the SMS.

Brady was 14/128 for a 9.1 avg and broke off a 45 yd. TD run, I'd say that's pretty effective.  The  disaster was his receptions, 1 for 1 for -1 yds. that's all on Condell.

Well well, Vanterpool's finally ready to go, and right on que. O'Shea said it yesterday, a player has to have the right personality to wait around for his chance, many don't have that patience and choose to leave.  For whatever reason he seems to be using the 6 game as a reserve. Vanterpool receiving full salary for the second year, hanging around and kicking back with the boys, no skin off his knees and it sure beats grinding for a living.

It's not about the total but the impact during the course of the game. That includes blocking assignments, outlet receptions as a receiver and how many very short runs he had getting stuffed.

He didn't see many reps after that big run and that's on Condell. Regardless IMO he was an ineffective factor to the outcome of the game. If he's not having a fairly dominant game from start to finish we tend to lose. He's the spark plug to our game.

Also note that I said for the last TWO weeks. I should have said 3 week. He had 69 and 48 respectively in those 2 games prior.  I think that big hit he took in the Argo game may have initially injured him and he's been having hip issues since.
