Good:
- Major Williams
- Olive Oil, especially how he was used to grind the clock down for the dub at the end
- Elgersma getting reps and getting a dub
- Vaval
- Only 13 points surrendered by the D
- D stop at the end of the game when it was needed most (unlike vs CGY and EDM)

Bad:
- Our start to the game
- Only 14 points scored
- Hardly any downfield throwing
- Zach injured

Ugly:
- The whole game
- BLM's injury
- BLM

Bad: The two INTs we dropped.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Pete

 more good
our secondary much improved even on completions a db was right there. (much tighter )
cobb played decent
bad

Tecno

GOOD
W
OL run block
Brady knowing he was the only chance to win
Elgersma manages the short game
Hot route is back!
Many players made good/impact plays - triple the last game

BAD
Calling everyone-curls on play #1 when it's never worked with Zach

UGLY
Pass pro breakdown hoses Zach
Horribly boring game for non-WPG/HAM fans; sounds like it was one of the few CBS shows -- bummer for obtaining new USA fans
Never go full Johnston!

Stats Junkie

Good
6 pass knockdowns for the defence
- Major Williams (3)
- Jaylen Smith
- Collin Kornelson
- Deatrick Nichols (dropped INT)
Trey Vaval on punt returns
- 19.0 yard average on 6 punts caught in the air
- Triggered a No Yards penalty by charging the ball on another punt
- 0.0 yard average on 2 punts that bounced near the sideline

Bad
Winnipeg chose to receive a kickoff after a Hamilton FG in Q2 as opposed to taking ball on W40. Vaval returned ball to W29 which is 11 yards back of where they could have had it. I don't mind the call, it was just a bad result.

Ugly
Ankle injury to Bo Levi Mitchell

Milestones ticked off by Taylor Elgersma
- last 🇨🇦 QB to take a snap was Bud Harden, August 9, 1978. Harden played the final drive of the game & handed the ball off each time.
- last 🇨🇦 QB to throw a pass was Ralph Schoenfeld, October 8, 1967. Schoenfeld saw some late game action in a 53-0 loss to the Argos. He threw 1 incomplete pass in the game.
- last 🇨🇦 QB to complete a pass was Brian Palmer, November 7, 1965 (WSF). Palmer played the final 20 minutes at QB after Kenny Ploen was injured.
- last 🇨🇦 QB to throw a TD pass was Mike Davies, September 12, 1960. Davies tossed a 7 yard TD pass to Ernie Pitts in the 4th quarter.

Hilarious you have to go back 60 years to get a bomber nat qb completing a pass.

It's funny and sad. But the reasons, mostly, are because they just weren't competitive compared to the Americans for so long. It's pretty interesting that not only do we have a pipeline of Canadians coming from American programs (less surprising) but also two Canadians coming from Canadian ones (much more surprising). Elgersma might just be a unicorn.
