Canada up 3-0 over the yanks with under 2 minutes in the third.

Every time I see a score I'm shocked this tournament is still happening.
My wife is amazing!

Canada goaltending was outstanding. Canada's PP not looking good. On to play Finland.

Canada gives up 3 in the 2nd. lots of work to do in the 3rd.

Canada played a good 3rd. period, but can't score.

Felt the Finns were more organized and caused a lot of chaos
in Canada's end.
Team Canada was missing, IMO, play making dmen

Bouchard was a big loss and I do hope he gets a clean bill of health for the upcoming season

Pigskin

Canada's PP was terrible all tourney. Not sure why the Canadian coaching staff would break up 55 and 13.

Norway and their goaltender defeat Canada

Thomas scored both with under a minute and a half in regulation just to force the OT

Pigskin

Finland wins the Gold in OT. Swiss lose 3 straight gold medal games, and score zero goals in any of them.

Heinola top pair Gold Medal D man, and can't crack the Jets lineup?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

That's because the Jets don't need another 6'0" 180 d-man. That is injured a lot. He couldn't take the pounding of the bigger teams in our division. But, a good international play just like NN62. NN62 shines in international play, not so much with the Jets. Time to move on from both of them.

It's almost as if playing for one's national team is different compared to playing on a NHL team.

Anyways, congrats to the Finns. They've been on a strong run the last decade or so. Gotta give credit to the Swiss for a hard-fought game yesterday, too.

Niedereitter had a rough season but I don't think it's fair to write him off based on that, especially when you zoom out and look a the rough season the Jets had as a whole outside of their top line. He's been an otherwise consistent bottom six contributor for the Jets since he was acquired.

Lumping him in with Heinola isn't justified, IMO.

You might be right on NN62. He just came off of a pretty good WC and he might have a little more value for a trade if the Jets want to go in that direction. He going to be 34, and just came off of his worst year in the NHL.
