Grant gets hurt, but I think astute CFL teams can deal with that, especially if they have a great #2 returner on standby.  Just offer Grant big money with ZERO signing bonus and the instant he gets hurt move him to the 6G.  Boom, zero risk to SMS.  Even if you have to overpay him to accept the no-bonus stipulation, it can still work out.

That said, it would be very tough for us to make it work whilst having Vaval, unless we wanted to make Vaval a full-time DB until Grant gets hurt.. and that's the only way to have both on the AR.  However, having both Grant/Vaval back there on kicks would be a blast.
Never go full Johnston!

Just caught on TSN page that Austin Mack and the Als are
mutually parting
Only 28 with decent numbers when he plays

Hasn't been healthy the past couple years is the main thing.

I guess it depends on where he's at.

Probably time for Woli to hang up the cleats, spent most of last season as a healthy scratch on the 1 game.

He may not be experienced but can't think of a better person to bring in as the remaining position coach, if he's interested.

Kenny Lawler hadn't played a full season until last year. 81 games out of a possible 104. If he's healthy, he makes plays.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Injuries were only part of the issue with Lawler missing games.

But I agree I want to give Mack a call, it's just worth noting that he has yet to repeat his rookie season.
