Nick Taylor added back to our PR. I don't have a problem with that but we deleted him and then added him back? I'd take that to indicate managing the number of players allowed on the PR as they transitioned away from the 5 extra added for 30 days.

I see him as the possible injury depth at CB if we have one during the WDF. Not necessarily as the starter but the in game depth.  We don't list a back up at CB on our depth chart. Bridges is the only extra import DB but I'm not sure if he'd be the 1st choice at CB. We might see McGhee added as the starter but Taylor also added as insurance as well?

Hard to say exactly what the thoughts are from the team but they are keeping him around for a reason I'd think. He can play multiple positions.

While I'm not expecting him on the AR this week, I wouldn't rule it out either. He can back up CB, DB and SAM. Might even see work at safety. He's experienced and talented.

Unless we have injuries we don't know about I would be shocked if he was on the roster this week. I don't think he's a realistic candidate to play anywhere other than at safety and I think losing Alexander was the reason he was brought in. You don't put 37-year-old guys who haven't played in over a year at corner. That's madness.

I didn't say we'd start him. I said if we lose a starter in the WDF, he'd be the new back up to the replacement. Essentially the emergency guy as a last man standing.

We already know we've lost Alexander so if the plan was to replace Alexander, wouldn't that be for the WDF? We brought him in before the last game and I don't think we had new injuries in the secondary.

I don't remember if Taylor has ever played at safety although his football IQ suggests he could. OTOH, that seems more of a madness idea than playing him where he has played well.

You could be right. It's all subjective wondering what the team had in mind for a 37 year old player.

Note that while he's 37 he started 11 games in Calgary last year and he's a bit of an athletic freak. His last game was 10/28 against the Bombers. In the short term I don't see his age as entirely limiting. It's not like he's going to have to play more than 2 games. Even that would probably only be as a depth / rotation player.

Bombers practised on Friday. Anyone have any reports about who didn't practice?

EDIT: K. Wilson and B. Alexander both participating at practice on Friday? That might not see them dress this week but could make them available for the Grey Cup if needed.
