Doesn't look like Rose made the roster, don't like that decision.

Parker won the spot outright it appears.  Plus, the corners won't get much work as Cody can't throw deep.  Any deep shots hvae a 50% chance of INT with Cody.

I don't think Fajardo can handle the pressure/bright lights of the big stage. If they go to the passing game, I think he stinks the joint out. If I am the Als, I run the ball and try to eat the clock up. They can't win a shoot out, they need to focus on TOP and limit our opportunities. I think they'll go the balanced route and that will be their downfall, as Cody sucks as a passer.

Strangely, I think Cody can handle the big pressure because he's not that smart.  He's kind of dull.  And dull people can just muddle through on an even keel because they're not over-thinking.  I've never really seen Cody flustered or freaking out or botching games just because they are big.  Not in SSK, not in MTL.

No, he botches things because he's just not that good.  He's like a game manager that can't really throw far, and takes a lot of sacks because he's slow to make decisions.  The danger of Cody is his ability to run without a care in the world because he seems to like hits and writhing.  It's the Cody way.  I'll hand it to him there, he's kind of like Mike Reilly tough: takes hits and keeps on going, but with the annoying addition of the writhing and theatre.

Cody will be on a mission to win just to stick it to SSK.

I don't think you are qualified to comment on how smart CF is ...he scored a 31 on his wonderlic test...which is pretty good...there are QB's who are very demonstrative and some that aren't.  I haven't heard anything that he isn't a top notch team mate or leader.  He is a pro level QB - which isn't easy and if he gets time in the pocket he can do some damage.

I can form an opinion on a player's IQ after watching them and their interviews for 5 years.  I also take in what other players and coaches and pundits choose to say about a guy.  For instance, MOS doesn't say much, but you can tell a lot about the very careful selection of adjectives he decides to use to describe a player.

You hear players and coaches and pundits say "high football IQ" about someone all the time.  But not everyone.  I have never once heard any one choose "high football IQ" to describe Cody.  Plus, I can just listen to him talk.  I'll stick to my opinion until proven otherwise.  As usual YMMV.

Grey Cup festival report: The James St festival site was pretty busy and fun.  Live music doing cover of various stuff (lots of 80s) was surprisingly good.  Not as many Bomber fans as I was expecting, but stlil quite a few.  Passed maybe 40 of them, "go blue!".  We do outnumber the MTL fans, who inexplicably didn't bother to drive out.  I talked with an ex-MTL person living in HAM at the festival and she said she hasn't seen too many MTL people, and was disappointed.  I wonder if we'll outnumber them at the game?

Maybe more of the WPG fans are at the convention center parties.  I didn't make it there, unfortunately as the kid was getting tired after walking all day.

Lots of greenies around, close to as many as WPG.  Some Argos fans.  Didn't see a single EDM, CGY, OTT fan.  1 BC fan.

HAM fans I talked to may root for MTL: nearly everyone said we have won too many already.  Hopefully they'll be ambivalent or too drunk to bother making noise.  ;)  If the HAM fans aren't rowdy, it could turn into more of a "home" game like CGY 2019.

Tickets finally went below face yesterday, so anyone waiting till now can get $50-150 off.

You do have to wonder about an organization like the Riders seemingly giving up on so many players that go on to have wonderful careers elsewhere. Zach, Demski and Willie J come to mind on the Bombers, and now Cody finds himself playing in a Grey Cup for Montreal. I'll give him credit for being smart enough not to do anything stupid in the Argo game and I expect we'll see more of the same tomorrow. How much of that is his head coach may be a fair consideration and that could all change if the Als get down early but so far against Hamilton and Toronto he has performed reasonably well.
Go Bombers!
