Re-signed most of the players on the PR at the end of the season. Also Harrison that was released earlier and Adamson that returned to college for his last season?

Now let's get Demski re-signed before Xmas?

Yes, Harrison back is interesting.  But isn't this just the start of loading up the pre-TC roster?

Harrison started for 1 (2?) games and did diddly squat IIRC.  But it's rare Zach targets the new guy when things are ticking well.

Certainly worth more of a look now that he'll not be a green IMP.  Heck, we kept bringing back McKnight forever and a day.

Hmm ... hard to criticise Zach but I do wish he'd spread the ball around a little more. Not that there's an issue here but it seems like Sheed and Woli didn't see a lot of throws last season. Would really like to see Bailey be taregeted more.

Ya.  But it's clear that both Buck & Zach really love to focus on the hot hand.  I guess it makes sense from a winning standpoint.  But some players can get testy when ignored.

When Schoen & Demski are making all their tough catches and YACing for TDs, it's hard to take a read to "the rest".

Lapo was always better at distributing the ball.  Nichols was too.  It also helps to keep other teams' DCs off-balance, and it keeps everyone sharp so you can still win games where they shutdown Demski (see GC) or Schoen.

I looked at the season stats, and the receivers received the following number of targets per game played:

Demski 6.6; Ellingson 6.25; Schoen 5.9; Bailey 5.3; and Wolitarsky 3.5.

That's a pretty even distribution.  Just going on memory and eyeball, I would have thought Bailey would have been lower.

As a footnote, Demski averaged about 1.5 rushes per game, and Bailey got about one every second game.  McRae was harder to assess, because his season totals were so low, he didn't make the detailed league stat sheet.  It looks like in those games where he started for an injured receiver, he was probably getting 2-3 targets and a couple of rushes.  In games where he was the DI, not so much.

Yes, good stats work.  Yes, I'm surprised Bailey was as high as that.  Felt lower for sure.  His completion rate wasn't so hot, though (from memory).  But Bailey did have a ton less deep looks than the top 3.  He got the grunt short/mid work.

Woli seemed to be used a ton less than previous years.  Some games he didn't see the ball at all, and we rarely did the Woli-down-the-rail play, if at all.  He seemed to only get it if everyone else was covered AND the opponent was playing way off the wide-out in zone.

It was a bit of a weird year.  Ellingson and Schoen were the early favorites, but then GE2 getting injured for a long spell and then returning to do nothing.  Very strange and wasn't conducive to a post-season build.

Baileys completion rate was the same as Schoen at 65% (Demski was at 74%).

But Bailey definitely ran shorter routes, with the average reception just over 10, about half that of Schoen.  He also has about one quarter the number of targets over 20 yards in depth as compared to Schoen.

Let's not forget the excitement Agudosi brought for a short time as well.
