Try the craven motor hotel. 40ks away. A buddy just booked for Sunday night

Ya, going slightly (or more) out of town seems like the way to go if you can't find anything in the city.  I'm fine paying $300, maybe $400, for a normally-$150 room... but I'm not paying the $600+ I've been seeing, especially when they are forcing 3 nights min stay also!  Maybe ok (but pricey) if you want to do the whole festival, but not good for us wife-and-family-and-work-restricted folk.

I'm fine with Regina charging whatever they want, don't get me wrong.  If someone will buy it, make it $1k a night.  But that leaves us "normal" people having to find options.

Personally, I'm doing Moose Jaw the night of the game.  Short drive, tons of hotels, mostly reasonable prices.  Your Craven sounds even better, but my kid really likes pools.  Doesn't get to swim much.

I seem to remember a Rider fan or two (Mania?) assuring us 1-2 years ago that when Regina was going to host the GC that they now had enough new hotels in place and rooms weren't going to be a problem!  So much for that theory!  I'm not doubting he/they were sincere, but it looks like it was a slightly optimistic view.  :D

A ton of WPGers haven't even finalized their GC plans yet and the city is already sold out so much the prices are not tenable.

One final hope is apparently the GC organizers reserve a bunch of rooms and once they know what they need a block of the unused ones will be released to the public.  Apparently that happens by midweek.  So those getting antsy might want to wait until Wed or Thu before panicking, if they prefer to stay in Regina proper.

I checked 6 hotels yesterday and they had rooms available....even Goldmembers hotel.

Call them directly, don't try online or third party sites.

Rooms cancelled and rebooked constantly.

Also, good back-up plan below:

University of Regina has Grey Cup dorm rooms available.

Includes free bus rides to team parties and the game.

Just saw a listing for a rental home on Regina facebook market place.  Search title Grey Cup.
Asking 300 for a 3 bedroom waling distance to Mosaic. Assuming that is per night.
Cheaper than what I got mine for.
Just an FYI
