He did finally bring some respectability to the Bombers after the disastrous Willy debacle.....he was a game manager and not a gunslinger and had limited mobility out of the pocket.    He threw many a ball away rather than force a turnover or fumble.    He never fully recovered from his shoulder injury in 2019 but had the Bombers in first place when he went down.   There were some issues I had with him avoiding taking accountability for poor play or pointing fingers at players when things broke down....but overall he was a positive influence for the Bombers and I hope he does well in life wherever that leads him.
yup this nails it

I noticed some teams had the rights to many of those players on the list provided.   There were also quite a few players no CFL teams had rights to.  The Bombers didn't have rights to any of the players on this list including Desjarlais and Streveler.   Why is that?   Can someone explain how teams retain rights to certain players and some players are unclaimed?

Don't recall now from all those years ago....did he replace  Drew "Free" Willy after an injury? I remember when they traded for Nichols it was like an almost non-event. He was just going to do mop up duty until he showed he could still play after some horrific injuries he had earlier in his career. Not the most gifted QB, but he helped turn the Bombers around and made them respectable again.

TO could still implode and not even make the playoffs. Doesn't seem a happy place.

Exactly why you dump highly paid old diva running backs. Not a popular one but another good call by KW.

One bad game out of 10, I will give the kid some slack. Hopefully he learns from the experience and not go into meltdown next game. I think he will come back fine vs Calgary. Not a time to panic and run him out of town like several kickers before. IF he really starts stinking the joint out the next few games, THEN time to look at who is available including Mourtada or other NFL cuts or kickers just waiting around to be picked up by someone. Too many chicken littles on this board sometimes.

Surprise Surprise! Was just a matter of time until he hit the IR again with all those hits and injuries over the years.Still respect Andrew Harris for all he did as a Bomber (I even have his jersey), but his best durable days are behind him. Kyle Walters proves once again that even though Harris  was a fan favourite and part of the heart of this team, sometimes you just need to move on for the benefit of the overall team. I just hope he did not burn so many bridges upon leaving that he would not be welcome back to the team in some capacity after he hangs it up.

Streaks are stressful (be they good or bad), so I'm glad they got their first loss out of the way and focus on just the next game without all the hype around it. To expect they could go 10-0 or even higher is nice, but more important to me is winning your last game of the season in the Grey Cup. Shaping up that we will be seeing BC in the western final. Conceivably the Bombers could play BC three games a row to end the year if they take first place (with a playoff 2 week break in between). Too bad we cold not see a showdown with BC earlier instead of only the last two regular season games. Not sure how much stock to put in the early road win in BC that far down the line.

Seems like the Bombers have a LOT of back to backs with teams this season. I don't mind a few, but this seems a bit overboard this year. Nobody with creativity in the CFL game scheduling office?
