Quote from: Jesse on Today at 04:59:14 PMThere's a wide range of behaviour that's not criminal that's still unacceptable to employers.
Both Kelly and Ajou were suspended for violating the code of conduct clause in their contracts. It was an employer holding the employee to an agreed upon standard. It has nothing to do with the presence or lackthereof of criminal charges.
Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on Today at 04:32:40 PMA telling factor is he has only 1 TD in 2 full seasons, as the mostly ignored receiver he should have more TD's on stealth alone. He replaced Woli who made his mark more than anywhere finding open space in the endzone.
An obvious advantage Woli had was he was a sociable individual who developed a great working relationship with his QB, perhaps this is a skill Clercius lacks confidence in acquiring. I don't think I've ever seen him interviewed by anyone.
Quote from: Tecno on Today at 03:59:04 AMYou guys said he's tall right? I assume has some beef too? Then couldn't he be a Stevens type and be SY in week 1? And learn the #2 role over the next 1-2 seasons...
Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on Today at 04:40:32 PMI heard that last night, apparently the same thing applied to Chad Kelly, what's up with that? How can a person receive severe punishment for an action if it has not been proven in court to be a criminal or civil offence? Is the CFL commissioner also a judge?
It's like having a school teacher fired for allegations of inappropriate behavior without a fair trial of the evidence.
Quote from: Pete on Today at 02:15:50 AMthere is no criminal charges or even a civil suit. The complainant went to the riders directly.
The league and the team does have the right to release any player due to behavior detrimental to the team, it part of most pro contracts
Quote from: Tecno on Today at 04:19:50 AMYa, but wasn't he used as a screen target and wide-out-near-LOS-at-the-rail "wide open" guy? Easy to get 5-7 YAC on every one of those. Especially when you're the guy the D ignored because they were dealing with the "real" threats.
Quote from: Tecno on Today at 04:05:50 AMMostly true (for us). But not always.
In the recent past we've had McCrae types (Cooley(?) too, was that his name?) as backup RB slash gadget REC.
Other teams, of course, roster DI RECs and RBs all the time. Many put a top-15 REC as DI and use them as DNA (25 snaps). White was used that way more often than not the last 2 years in HAM.
Could have sworn we had 1-2 games the last 1-2 seasons where we started an IMP as backup hoggie? (Usually when too many NAT hoggies were IR'd.) Other than that, yes it's uber-rare.
