Don?t think I agree with the poor Kenny, this is what he wanted.

(Unless there was an injury I didn?t see)

No injury - I know it was 100% his choice but I do really like the guy.

Seeeeeergio missed a 52 yarder...then the riders fumble the return.

Its crazy how different a team can look from week to week..Hsmilton couldnt do anything last week, and Saskstchewan looked like world beaters

Pretty harsh.

Sad to see how hard he worked to make it in the cfl, was on BC s practice roster, wasn?t good enough?? To play for the hapless Lions, Bombers give him a chance and week by week, continued to make plays until he became our #1, and then lead the league in receiving yards, only to sign with the hopeless Elks, and fade to black.....

And Lawler shows what he can do. Collaros is probably hating how good that catch was

Looks like Regina might of lost Dan Clark for the year. Massive loss for them on the OL. Dude looked really upset. Could not help but feel for the guy even if it is Regina.

Lots of injuries this past two weeks!

Neither Edmonton or Regina looked very good. More injuries for both isn't going to help either team.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Jones start cutting some players to make a point. He has a 16+ player IR and we may see some shuffling.

The Elks looked a lot better in week 2, just not good enough to beat the Riders.

The Riders looked like they thought all they had to do was show up to get a win. Elks showed them that you can't take any team lightly.

Better game than I was expecting.

It'll be interesting to see how BC plays next week. Are they as good as they looked in game 1 or was that just a mirage?

If I was Jones I wouldn't tie my hopes to Nick Arbuckle, he looked like a poor man's version of Dane Evans, I think Cornelius has more long-term potential.

Losing Clark is a big blow to the Riders. The other thing I noticed was all 51 does is hold, on every play. And some of those holds included take downs.

That is what the Riders O line does all the time.

I agree, Arbuckle is not looking good, to me Cornelius was better last year and we should be seeing a switch any time now from Jones.

Ya, but I was glad to see the refs were calling them on holds consistently.  Need to set the tone early in the year "SSK no holdy!".

SSK looking more down to earth and beatable.  Good.  And I love to see Dickerson The Lesser still hasn't instilled discipline.  I think it was 140 yards in penalties?!  Yikes!!!  They are going to blow their gasket when we play them.

Great point, I hadn't thought of that, but you're right: Arrrbuckle is really just like Evans.  You could swap jerseys and watch the all-24 and probably not be able to tell them apart (in terms of play style).  Weird.

I think both of them are mediocre.  I think both will not win a cup anytime soon.  I like Masoli and MBT and even VAJ for the cup before Arrrbuckle or Evans.  Those two are overrated league-wide for some reason.  Heck, I think Cody would have a better chance of winning the GC, and I think he's mediocre++.

Honestly I can't see Vernon Adams ever winning a G.C. as a starting QB, his style is entertaining but there is too much sandlot play to succeed against well disciplined defences.  He's been in the league 6 seasons, much like Dom Davis he has a great tool set but he can't seem to figure out how to make it work consistently.

At this point, with the pressure of the new owner looking on, I don't see Khari handing V.A. the starting job back from Trevor Harris, unless injury steps in.  Much like a healthy Matt Nichols, Harris is capable of giving Mtl. a consistent chance of competing in every game.  Still wish the Bombers would have grabbed T.H. when he was available, but I think he knew he had a good shot of taking over the #1 job if he went to Mtl....and he was right.

My ideal QB team for this season would be Collaros backed by Harris as a solid backup, with Dom Davis as the short yardage QB, both were available through much of the offseason, so it could have happened!

Watching Jones and the elks coaching staff on the sidelines. The seemed completely lost as to what was happening. And who taught them how to tackle? So many slipped thru their grasps.

Vernon Adams couldn?t carry Trevor Harris s cleats to the field. He?s totally over rated and emotional head case. Montreal will not do as well with Adams at the helm as they would with Harris

TLB and dd are right... sort of.  I think VAJ could win a GC with a good team.  However, I'm not sure VAJ can get to the GC.  He's great at flash-in-the-pan games where he blows up D's for 400 yards.  But he has no consistency.  Yes, it's probably mostly in his head.

So, possibly T.Harris could get MTL to the GC, then gets injured in EDF or GC Q1 and VAJ comes in and wins it for them?  I could actually see that happening.  Well, except I don't think T.Harris is good enough to win the playoffs either, as he's very hot & cold.

I think Nichols was much more even-keeled ("game manager") and consistently capable than both of them.  Not as much upside, but reliably gave you middle-of-the-road week after week.

A costly win.. Dan Clark busted his fibula and displaced his ankle... had surgery, but that's a six week to three month recovery...

Fajardo is going to be hunted... going to need to scramble a lot more now...

Out of work "C"'s with experience just got a lot more desirable... bidding wars might ensue, could be why we hadn't seen an Eli or Speller take a deal yet, knowing there could be 2 openings...

That said Kolankowski apparently looked pretty good so far filling in... and Dobson was practicing his shotgun snaps...  not sure what SSK has for a plan "B" at "C"

If I'm O'Day I'll try to offer Brett Jones a lot of $$$ to come back to the CFL and play for the Riders. He is a Regina kid too.

The Riders have now lost St. John and Clark, big blows to there OL.  but they have a few Canadian OL's in there system .

Campbell is on there 1 game IR.

Alatorre Montoya and Schick on there PR.

Labatte and Fry on there Suspended list.

Fry is going back to play his last year in USport.  In my opinion LaBatte is finished and Schick is a Regina Thunder player...green as grass.

they have zero oline depth, and in all honesty their whole interior would be hard pressed to start any where in the league currently over who teams already have...and their tackles are horrendous...house of cards will soon come a tumbling and that lack of discipline there...And limp Dickie having zero handle on it....gonna be fun to watch the finger pointing...social media whining and sideline tantrums

I can't speak much to their OL, except they looked ok so far, pre-injuries.

But if SSK regresses in '22, the community is going to clamor for heads.  Cody and/or Dickerson The Lesser could get the axe.

I don't think SSK can have a "oops, injuries" or "rebuild" year.  They need to go for it now.  Look for desperate FA/trade moves if their OL really is in trouble.  Heaven help that club if WPG beats them in a WDF again...
