Clercius has showed a great deal of promise in the past. Why does he sit?
Was injured and getting back to game speed, is rotated, used a lot in blocking
The BB receivers haven't shown much this entire season...

He's never delivered, struggling to out perform Gavin Cobb.
I would think if he was productive and can block well he'd be on the field, the thing is he hasn't been productive and we have better blocking receivers, so he sits. We don't miss him on the field.
Didn't emperor get a big circus grab at the rail late last season? At this point I'd say he's more capable than Nield.
Maybe they're ramping him up slowly after being in the tub so long?
With emperor, Ike, Daniels, and Nield, we have 4 guys that are basically the same body type and similar capability. And usually all 3 are on AR every game now. It may be overkill, especially since none are making much of an impact.
They do it use to Clersius' strengths. A pity really.

Didn't he beat out Cobb last year.....in any event , he impressed me with his previous performances and effort.
He was benched late last year. People are assuming he was injured this year, but he was seemingly always penciled in as a back-up.

He's back at game speed, 2 games ago. Poor coaching decisions keep him on the bench over Cobb and Nield.

I don't agree, if he was better choice he would be catching balls and open which he hasn't. All three under preforming.

Wasn't he benched last year for missing a block, either not knowing the assignment or being lazy about it? It must not have been the first time. Anyway MOS is going to play "his" guys. Another team will sign him in Feb.

There was something that happened, others said the same. My memory sucks lol.

At 272 lbs. can't compare Daniels to the other 2 as he's heavily involved in blocking assignments and he's now on the field more often than Eli. Hasn't proven himself as a receiver yet but also not getting many opportunities to do so.

He clearly can catch -- probably better than Nield. However, throwing him well-covered deep rail go routes is NOT the way to use a big TE.
The more dump-pass-like passes are far more effective for him.
If Thik Nik can play at 272+ lb, then so can Daniels!

Clercius is taking like 1/10th the snaps of Nield. Nield is basically every down. It's not a fair comparison.
And no one is saying Clercius will light it up, he never really has in any other season, but he's still dev'ing vs Nield who is on the steep downslope.

Those are some very good points. Perhaps there is hope yet. Thanks for the stats on the reps. Very informative.
How does his reps compare to Cobbs?.
