I tried out the Bomber App (Android) for the first time -- talked into it by all of the hoopla advertised at games.
I wanted to play the Bomber Bingo. I was able to get into it, but it wouldn't work. I could see the squares and what each required. But during the game when I clicked on one a barely-visible circle appeared over it. But nothing happened, and when I clicked the next circle for a thing that happened, the previous circle I had disappeared!
I tried long click, double click, everything.
Has anyone else tried the Bomber Bingo? Had any luck? Is the app good for anything else?
This isn't the most helpful but there's a woman in front of me who plays it every home game. She seems to love it. Hah

Hehe, well it would be helpful to ask her if you just press it or have to do something extra. And if she's Apple or Android. There's a chance no one tested it on Android...
Not like I have a ton of extra time to play bingo in-game, between the binocs and my kids fighting. But if I can't make it work (and tech is my profession remember), then I guarantee there are others having problems.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say select squares. Any time I've opened bingo (not this year), the card opens up and things get highlighted or checked off as they occur in the game. There's nothing that I do other than look at it.

Oh! That might explain things. However, I checked over probably 15 mins and the thing that occurred (3rd down conversion I think) hadn't changed at all. i.e. No square on my board was different/selected. I didn't check back later than that.
So maybe it takes the dude running this thing 10+ mins to figure out a play happened and update the computer?
So we just sit back, watch the squares fill in and all we do is press CALL BINGO when we see one? But we still have to wait for someone else to figure it out... Not sure why it shows a little clear circle when I click on a square then, though. Seems redundant.
I would rather it had required the fans/players to know the plays that are listed and recognize when they actually happened on field. But that might be asking too much for casual fans, I guess.
Thanks for filling in the holes for me. Will save me frustration if I choose to play again. Maybe I'll delegate it to my littlest one!
This year's bingo feels like it acts differently than last year's.
I'm using an Android. I clicked every square shortly after the game and the ones that didn't happened stayed the same colour. The ones that occurred, I can't remember exactly, either had a white translucent circle in it or changed shade.
I'll make sure to screenshot it on Thursday.
Thanks, I will make sure to try it after, too. But correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a timing aspect of being the first to declare bingo?
I see the translucent circle, but when I click another square it just disappears.
My hunch is they are slow updating what actually happened, if they even notice everything at all!
