Blue Bombers add Bralon Addison to coaching staff
WINNIPEG, MB., June 1, 2026 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the addition of Bralon Addison to Mike O'Shea's coaching staff.
Addison, who had been working as a guest coach since the start of rookie camp in May as part of the Canadian Football League's Diversity in Football Program, will now serve as Offensive Assistant in 2026.
A product of Missouri City, TX and the University of Oregon, Addison appeared in 63 games in the CFL as a receiver with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2018-22) and Ottawa RedBlacks (2023-25) and finished his career with 303 receptions for 3,543 yards and 16 touchdowns.
He was a CFL and East Division All Star in 2019 in March of this year signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the RedBlacks before turning his attention to coaching.
Probably has close ties to Condell, played for him in Hamilton and Ottawa.
Nice move
Could this also be why we picked up OLADEJO, Daniel, an Ottawa connection?
Addison had 72 receptions for 825 yards last year. Forget about coaching, put him on the roster :D
Maybe his body gave out on him?

That's what I thought, he was pretty decent last year

Was kind of like Demski, some run, some catch coming out of the backfield, but too fragile, rarely played more than half the games in a season.
Ya he had a huge injury a couple of years back and hasn't been the same since. He used to be one of my top 5 receivers. Body just couldn't do it anymore.
He seemed like a good guy in game pressers, and smart.
I like this move. Not sure why he needed to be a "diversity in coaching" hire though. No doubt he can stand on his own merit. Maybe it gets us a subsidy or cap break on his salary? Bonus

MOS confirmed his knowing Tommy's system was a big reason he was hired, along with his work ethic and willingness to learn and do all the things needed
