Title: Big Sugar at home opener!
Post by: Blueforlife on May 25, 2026, 09:07:37 PM
Awesome band! Just seen them at the casino, they still got it.

Mods can you confirm they will play the tailgate and half time show?

If so, is there a start time for when they will play at the tailgate?  I assume shortly after it opens at 530.

I (we) don't want to miss this one!

Rock and roll!

I know Rock music isn't exactly "in fashion" at the moment, but I really wish that WFC would bring in some of the better Canadian rock bands, like Monster Truck or Danko Jones.

Fully on board and I believe this is on brand! The Glorious Sons is one of my favorite bands too. Monster Truck would absolutely fit right in.

Rock is a little stale in the mainstream but as Neil Young says it will never die

Bring NY (with the Horse) and PJ for a stadium concert duo bill and they will blow the roof off, o wait there is no roof LOL, I would pay $300 for that show.

Rock is fine.  The crowd at the stadium(s!) still trends older.  I'm not a huge rock fan, unless it's some 80's stuff, but I'd rather hear that than some of the other options!!

I think having Big Sugar will be cool.  Had a gf in U who really liked them.  Ah, memories!

Getting sound right will be key, I find the sound in the upper deck highly variable.  The sound at the casino was good but a little light on the vocals.  We are in for a treat.  Anyone hear if they play halftime only or also at the tailgate?

I know last season at the opener the Trews played but only played at halftime not at the tailgate.

I love Ride Like Hell

I've been reading the Rock is coming back.  Have you seen angine de poitrine?

Quebecois guitar wizard and drummer duo rapidly ascending the music world. Younger fans.

I am familiar with Angeline Poutine.  Talented musicians, but not my jam - they certainly have a unique stage presence (and I like bands with presence - I went to see Ghost in 2014 at the Garrick with like 50 other people before they won their Grammy, and I can't wait to catch GWAR in the fall); I prefer complete songs with vocals, not just jam-band instrumentals, but to each their own.  I wish them luck, even if I won't be going to see them live.
