Title: Preseason Viewing Schedule
Post by: Tecno on May 18, 2026, 04:40:16 AM
Not sure if this has been covered yet.  Didn't see it, so let's try to figure it all out here.  First game is the day you read this (Mon 18th)!

TSN is only showing 2 games?  And no blue?  That's total suckage.
Sat 23 TOR@HAM 3pm
Fri 29 MTL@OTT 6pm

CFL is streaming the other games, just like last year.  They swear they have the technical issues fixed  ::)

CFL+
Mon 18 SSK@CGY 2pm
Fri 22 OTT@MTL 6pm
Sat 23 EDM@BC  4pm
Sat 23 WPG@SSK 6pm <-------- !!
Fri 29 HAM@TOR 6pm
Fri 29 BC @WPG 7:30pm <----- !!
Fri 29 CGY@EDM 8pm

https://www.cfl.ca/plus/

Lots of those overlap.  I have no idea if they'll allow replay after the game.  In the past they didn't?

Don't miss the 2 WPG games, and I'll see you at the home game!  Friendly reminder: BC sux!

Strange, but my computer PVR doesn't show the Sat 23 TOR@HAM 3pm game.  The 29th game is there though.  Weird.

Does anyone else see the Sat 23 game?  Which TSN is it on?

Then again, I just noticed my PVR has 212 (TSN2) blacked out for some odd reason.  Might have to look into that before the season starts!

I show it scheduled on TSN2 ( 901 on Telus ). As of yesterday I still don't show the Bomber game on the 23rd.

CFL.ca has it listed as only CFL+, pretty sure they did that last year as well for a few of the pre-season games. Broadcast crew may be from a Rider radio feed.

First pre-season game is on now, CFL+.

Watched most of the game. Production values pretty low obviously, and quality of play falls off, especially in second half when the 3rd/4th stringers come in, but it was good to have CFL football back. I thought Coan did not look great. Schager looked like a better QB, but tough to judge in preseason.

Riders probably going to dress a lot of vets for their second game against the Bombers, it will provide a better test of talent for players that only shine playing against other 3rd stringers.

Schager showed some speed on his td run.

Riders always try to win their home PS.  PS may mean nothing, but they like to get the crowds & players hyped anyhow.  WPG is the opposite, Mafia doesn't give a toot if we give the home crowd a win.  Let them eat cake!

Yay!  After the fact streaming works!  IIRC last year they had them viewable for a couple/few days after, then they disappeared.

Watching now.  Was busy with big work project earlier.

Only showing 2 Eastern Canadian-only games, where the market is clearly the strongest.  Apparently nobody who knows or cares about Canadian football lives west of Thunder Bay.  Typical recent CFL leadership.  LOL.

This "leadership" is why this league is on it's way out.

More likely due to the location of crews and equipment than any grand conspiracy.

Finally finished watching the Monday game.  Funny, I thought Coan looked like he has gotten better and likely has secured his job there.

Standouts (IMHO) (excuse spelling - I have no idea!)

The games on the 22nd have spooled off.  The 23rd ones are still there.  So it looks like you get 2-3 days.  If you want to watch the Bomber's game again, you probably have until around midnight tonight.

Bummer that they don't leave the games up a whole week.  Not like it costs anything.

Powell is looking really good in the EDM@BC game.  A lot of us had him pegged as the next "it" guy.  But Cody looked pretty good too.  EDM looks set at QB.  I wonder how long Cody can falter before they switch to Powell.

Surprised to see Peyton Logan hired elsewhere.  He looked astoundingly good in his PS game.  He was doing well at returner as well as looking good at RB!  Nice and quick.  Looked young again!  Maybe his "year off" healing up in WPG really helped.

You're welcome, Logan!

There was almost no people at the HAM game in the rain.  Ya, rain, and ya looked cold.  But still.  I can see no weather that would ever make PAS that empty, even in PS.

And by "almost no people" I mean like 5-10 people in every section.

Very weird.
