Heading down to Dunedin for a couple of weeks. Sounds like the Jays have signed Scherzer for 1 year at $3M.
Jays with lots of young talent. Pitching also looks very solid.
Blue Jays season opener tonight.
Quote from: Pigskin on March 27, 2026, 10:14:21 PMBlue Jays season opener tonight.
1-0, though I think Hoffman shouldn't have a firm grip on his closer role for much longer...
Good team win. Excellent pitching. Hoffman giving up another 9th inning HR is concerning.
Great one night success . Bottom of the order scored while Gaus and "most" relievers came thru
Nice come back win for the Jays today after Little gave up a granny to put the Jays down 6-2.
Two games in, I am really liking the pitch challenge rule. The decisions are quick and there hardly any delay in the game. One umpire being over ruled 6 times in one game.
Nice, Springer with a lead off HR. Great pitching, three HRs. The Blue Jays are looking good early.
Ponce stumbles, trying to field a ball, after 1 out in the third and gets carted off with knee discomfort
Miles and Little, as a couple examples, crap the pitching bed
In a loss the positive appeared to be the 4 jacks by the Jays
Yes, tough break for Ponce. Yes, and Little has been a nightmare so far.
Blue Jays with a nice bounce back win. Much better pitching tonight, and a lot of players chipping with the bats.
Max was really on top of his game
Ponce out with a ACL sprain. He will be out for awhile.
Gausman outstanding for 6 innings. Hoffman 3 strike outs in the 9th. But, no O today.
Blue Jays in a little bit of trouble. Lack of starting pitchers. Little has been terrible. Kirk injury has hurt the Jays. Heineman has made a throwing error in the last two games which has been costly. And, a few players have not found there bats yet.
Bad base running decision by Heineman and then the horrible flip into left field during a rundown
Vlad finally punched one out
Kirk with a fractured thumb on his catching hand. 4 to 12 weeks is the normal healing time. However, he's a catcher so this could be the full 12 weeks if not longer.
Shutout and definitely weren't a threat other than once
Other than the Yankees really good record, the Jays are not losing ground to the other underachievers in their Division
Injuries piling up for the Jays.
Ponce and Santander to the 60 day. Little and Estrada heading to Buffalo. Barger lower body.
Much needed win for the Blue Jays. LA is very good and we had to fight for every inch.
Two wins in a row, get the World Series tickets printed.
Nice comeback with power, great relief pitching
Didn't look good early. Down 4-0. The boy's put together some good hitting tonight.
DS5 finding his power stroke. Nice two run dinger.
Jay's loss 7-4, and Springer with a broken big toe.
Yup, Springer goes on the 10 day, wouldn't surprise me if old man Scherz is placed on some IL, while Bieber, just today, goes
to the 60 day.
Think, correct me if wrong, the Jays picked up an infielder today

This team is pretty banged up right now. Lucky no one is playing consistently good baseball in there division.
Nice come back win for the Jays. So timely hitting in the 9th and 10th.
Missed some of Jets game due to flipping to Jays game
Caught most of the rally in 9th and the big 10th —- YIPPEE
Bottom of the 8th was tough to watch. A few errors did us in. Sloppy.
3 bunts in a row does the Jays in today. Boy's have to find some consistency with the bats.
Another L, and another key player with an injury. I hope Varsho's injury isn't long term.

Cursed season.
Hoffman gives up a grand slam in the 8th. Time to find another closer.
Saw Hoffman's terrible inning, which makes it two appearances in a row, in which he's melted down.
Believe Varland had recently been anointed the closer which explains Hoff pitching the 8th.
Jays had hits, but alas, continue to leave runners stranded
Wow, the Jays with 10 runs today. Gaus with another nice outing.
Nice win for the Blue Jays. Vlad with 3 hits. Cease with another beauty. Nice to see Varsho back. And, Hoffman actually closed out a game.
Blue Jays with another nice win. Some timely hitting. However, going into the bottom of the 9th with a 3 run lead and Hoffman loads the bases. Nice to have Varland to bail him out.
Good games yesterday until Fisher and Nance came into the game. But, the Jays still leaving to many men on base.
Blue Jays win back to back series. Playing pretty good ball with all the injuries they have.
Jays need to shut down the Red Sox, who now replaced their Mgr., and have won two straight. Another series win would most definitely help the Jays keep their heads high
As a team, the Jays have a low whiff rate but Okamoto is an awful exception to that

Yes, Oko has had trouble with the whiffs. But, he is starting to catch up with the fastball. Hitting much better of late.
Not going to win to many games with only 2 hits. Bats have to be more consistent. Sounds like Springer and Barger are close to returning.
Very nice outing for Ysavage and Okamoto's powerful drive to the wall, knocking in 2, was huge in getting the win.
Certainly not getting much production from our catchers and
Mr Personality, Schneider, is working for walks but that's about it offensively.
Yes, had a nice night. Some timely hits. But, I think when the bats are cold, Jays need to go to some small ball and take some more chances on the base paths.
Very solid victory this afternoon.
Some big hits, first dinger for Clement, young catcher, Valenzuela, strokes out a long bomb and the pitching was precise and strong throughout the game
Nice to see Springer back. A lot of guy's chipping in with the O today.
Springer takes another ball off the foot. Left the game. Blue Jays with 8 runs in the 8th innings. Oko with another HR.
Cease with another solid outing. Sosa, Straw, and Val also with HRs.
Varsho with a walk off granny last night. Jays needed that. The O has been terrible against the Rays. Vladi 2 HRs and batting under 300. He needs to get going.
Really jumped when Varsho knocked the opposite grandiose
That's now 21 games since Vlads last dinger —- head scratcher
Yesavage with a beauty. Jays played a little small ball. Good road win against a very tough Yankees.
Blue Jays with another solid win over the Yankees. Excellent pitching and a couple of timely hits. However the boys left far to many on base.
Just enough timely hitting, running, very good pitching, a few errors by the Pirates and Jays win
Excellent pitching again today. The boys kept chipping away at the Pirates starting pitcher and final broke him down. Another nice win.
Vladi and Cease both leave early. Vladi hit on the elbow with a pitch. Sounds like he will be okay. No word on Cease, but it looked like discomfort with his neck.
Cease on the 15 day IL. Vlad won't start tonight but may be available as game progresses.
Luke's back from rehab and thus Schneider, who truly has been well below average, was sent down for the roster spot
Yes had a rough outing. Lot's of running on base, but couldn't cash them in.
Another great outing for Blue Jays pitchers.
Blue Jays down 5 zip and come back to win 6-5.
Hoffman blows a 4 run lead in the 9th. Give him a bus ticket to Buffalo.
Watched and was beyond disappointed at how easily it all occurred
Jays looked tired. 17 games in 17 days. Bring in pitches from anywhere they can find them. Nice, there getting a day off.
Jays, with a nice come back win. Pitching staff is getting healthy.
Nice to see Kirk back yesterday. 3/3. 1R, 3H, 2RBI, 1BB.
Unbelievable moon shot by Okamoto left my mouth open for awhile
—- get with the power program Vlad
Kirk certainly came thru and helped lead the team to a win
Yesavage had some decent moments but control issues, in back to back games, should be a concern
