Title: G. Manu
Post by: Blue In BC on December 18, 2025, 10:14:55 PM
He's being taken off IR and will be given an opportunity to be placed on AR, returned to IR for the balance of the season or released outright. I'm not sure how long that evaluation window is but making an impression quickly is not in his favour.

He was a 4th round pick by the Detroit Lions.

Good luck to him but maybe he's in TC 2026 and would improve the situation with our Canadian OL and decisions to be made before free agency. He has some experience at both LT and LG. He's also a big guy @ 350lbs.

Is he currently injured or what?

They were high on him, and he actually spent some time on the active roster this season, with one start before injuring his knee. I can't see him coming back to us anytime soon. Even if Detroit were to eventually release him, he'll spend some time with the NFL tryout merry go round.

I actually broke this down at the start of the NFL season. The Lions released a couple other prospects ahead of him to start the season. They really like him though. I'd be pretty surprised if they released him.

He's coming off the and extended time on the IR. I listed the choices they have which include parking back on IR for the balance of the season. That may be the most probable but an injury might change their thoughts. He was drafted in 2024 so his playing time has been almost nothing.
